    Looks like a skate board.....

  7. Oddly enuff, I find this model A a tad more traditional than 60's Falcons or 53 chrysler 4 door sedans. If you saw these anywhere it was someone's parents driving them. At least this is a hot rod. Not my style, but a hot rod. Just my 2 cents.

Looks better than most attempts with that style but three years from now someone on here will be trying to make a car that they can drive out of it if it lasts that long.

It looks just like another A sedan that could been built into a nice rod and was turned into one of 'Those things" instead.

I like it, one more finished piece to support the cause. Looks like someone on this build has a touch of a racing background?

  18. I think you mean "The Oakland/South San Francisco/ Pomona Show?"

That's 18 days you'll never get back. Sorry..........there is just too many of these things out there and it represents one more body that can never be used to build something practical.

I'm conflicted about this. As art, it's a nice piece, although it's been done already. As a car, well... I like it because it's cartoony, but that's finished? It's got potential yes, but it needs another couple days, and some more lug nuts on the front wheels... The pattern on the floor is cool, is it stainless?

    I'm with Frank.

I think with another day of work you coulda another 4~5 inches to the wheel base & maybe sectioned the body to make it look more like a Squished Bug.

Please refrain from Early cars & go back to building Mini-Trucks

  24. Only 18 days means you took the quick and dirty path. Creating a quality hot rod will always take time, skill and a high level of attention to traditional design.
I'm afraid all you did was slap together yet another rat rod style Model A.

Looks like it took most of your time to get the air bags installed and the welding done . Other than that it's a waste of good metal that could have been a really nice hotrod ! Just 18 days on what ? Something you can't drive ! I much prefer comfort and safety !
These so called customs give "Traditional" hotrods a bad rap !
    Just my 2 cents !

  26. I predict this thread will end with a group hug and a singing of Kumbaya.
I further predict that Milli Vanilli will make a comeback and have a series of platinum albums and Mythbusters will prove that dryer sheets are more effective than WD-40, Vice grips, duct tape, and Marvel Mystery Oil.

Did you use 3 point hitch center links for the tri-angulated rear suspension? Then welded the mount to a 8.8 center section? I've bent those links plowing snow. I've also heard you shouldn't weld on that cast center section. Are you really going to drive it?
