The main day is today, but I went Friday and Saturday so here are some photos from the Foreshore party Friday night and some I took Saturday afternoon. I'm sure those returning tonight will have new photos as on the way home I saw a heap of cars heading down.

was a good weekend all in all, again a credit to Chopper , his boys and all those who help make it happen. I took the family down so didn't take the roadster. Saw striper and Martin heading down as I was heading home.

    Friday night

I hear you, we went down on Friday with my 2 year old and 8 week old in the olds - no AC, I'm surprised my wife didn't skin me alive. But apart from saying it was hot, she didn't say a word.

Much nicer trip home this morning.

surely some of Sundays attendee's have made it home and have some photos to show?

Nice pics, your folks were still having fun when we left this arvo. The traffic off the Island sucked.

Saw the Olds too late to wave this morning Corey. Had a brief word to your old man today.

That '57 Fairlane had something about it. Not a car I would usually give a second look but that one I did.

Not sure I'll make the trek next year. I'm rooted tonight. Long drive, hot weather and more mechanical problems than I've ever had in a single day. Still better than golf though. I have to thank the Vultures and Kardinals for their patience with my heap of shit today. I have some work to do.

    Great shots.

Love the "Old Skool" look and some real nice pin striping and lines being laid down.

It's nice to see how others are doing it and keeping the memories alive.

    Thanks for the shots. Jimbo

    1. Sheared the bolt that holds the yoke from slipping off the spline on my open drive conversion on the banjo. No biggie. Done it before so I had a spare.

    2. Clutch linkage lost a screw and dropped off. No clutch.

    3. Got hot coming in due to some fucker stopping for 5 mins at the exit to the tunnel under the track.

    4. Clutch fork pivot bolt worked out. No clutch again. Might get some more Loctite.

    5. Ran like shit first 30 mins coming home. Adjusted timing and seems OK.

    6. Hit a bump coming home. Fan caught my fan shroud and chewed it up. Missed the radiator.

After that it ran like a dream.

    FOR SALE

'28 Ford modified. One owner, hardly driven........

Not really that bad but I've never had so many unrelated things in one day.

  17. No biggies then...she made it home OK.....

Although having no clutch can be a PITA !! At least you made it there and back....

    Once she's sorted it'll be sweet !

The heads ( I think) are stock ford units, the finned covers are 'Thickstun' ones that normally go over the Thickstun heads. They were made by Thommy Thickstun for Marine applications. If you look in TRJ there is a story on them. Or I'm sure there is information on them here is you search. Only made for the early 24 stud motors.
