Hey Zed, Looking cool as always. One question, Where do you get the WWW & wheels/hubcaps you use from? I am gathering parts for a build & need a pair of sombrero caps.

I know it looks kind of tough now, but it has a story. This '55 Nomad kit was given to us by a family friend who had it chrome plated in a LEGG's pantyhose factory. It was the first kit that I remember my dad and I sitting down to build "together", although I probably was mostly there for the comedy relief. At any rate, I have some good memories about that.

And speaking of model kits, I did another story that has a bunch of old ones, including this one. The title picture is actually my Avatar here! Click if you dare. http://www.examiner.com/x-10974-Kan...1950s-and-60s--Who-builds-these-things-anyway

Some of you guys are really great model builders. I'm jealous!

Some of my favorites. I bought them done already. I quit building models. Dont have time to work on the real thing let alone a model.

Nice models! Cool history on the plated Nomad.

Nothing to add this week. The A roadster's at a stand-still- hope to get back to it later this week.

Ok so I was looking at one of my favorite kits, AMT's 1949 Ford coupe kit, I love this car and have built this kit several times, this time I thought I'd try sectioning.. with absolutely no idea what I was doing I attacked it with my dremel tool, here's where I am with it so far..

kicks ass man! I sectioned one this weekend too, I had to do it the 'traditional' way with the razor saw... we both seemed to make similar cuts too....

I need to figure out a grill and what to do with the tail lights, maybe lose the windsplints.....

I am guessing that is Revell's 32 three window... Is that front axle and brake drums from that kit ?
