i bought the uglyest car/anybody know anything about it?

Is the grille in that a late 30's car grille, taken apart in the middle and turned on it's side so the bottom outer corners are now the middle of the top?

 

dam you are right,that is a hanna barbarbara car, it's not dastardly or Muttley, but it's def one of the ones i've seen before. I would work with it from there,it really is a cartoonish car. get a stuffed muttley for the front seat or a grape ape. come to think of it I think i saw grape ape in a car like that once,with his head sticking through the roof.

 

you could make it a tribute to the great hanna barbara cartoons, they don't make good cartoons like that anymore do they?

 

It's ugly as fuck in an ugly as fuck sort of way, but it's unique and worth saving.

Okay, not the best lookin car, but it has potential. But the gal? Only word I can think of is UNBUFUGLY. That's short for unbelievably f**kin ugly. That's a wakeup heart attack waiting to happen. Ya wake up, look over and have a friggin heart attack. I REALLY hope that's makeup.....

It's apparently a *home-built* utilizing the lower parts of fenders and door from a Triumph TR-2 or 3 sports car....windshield is also TR-3....then he *un-sectioned* it by adding on fiberglass panels upward to make it much higher than the very low TR-3's............that hardtop is an aftermarket (horrible) fiberglass hardtop for a TR-3..........one *uckin' fuggly* car.........

You guys are way too hung up on looks.......just ask any old timer. That's how doggy style came to be

 

update,,, pulled her from her hole, shes going to desert storage a few more pics as said before it appears it was hopped up, had 4 carbs at one time and trick ignition

 

ugly! no realy!!!! needs something gas and matches .thats it.

 

It may be ugly now, but once you put 3 or 4 big orange CB antennas on it, give it the ol' electricians tape vinyl roof, some raingutter sidepipes with zoomies and a nice corrugated metal hoodscoop, it'll look mighty fine. Maybe raise the back waaaay up with some shackles and M50 Kelly Springfields, and some Yosemite Sam mudflaps. Above all keep it tasteful. Understated elegance.

 

After a second look, I can say yes, it is truly ugly. The upward angle of the hood not only looks bad, but seemingly results in the dash being about even with the top of the drivers head .

Will be interesting to see what you can do with it.
