This build reminds me of when I was in College. I couldn't wait for Christmas break because I would have time to work on my projects. I used to make lists of things I would need during class. This didn't help my grades any. Keep up the good work. I can't wait until you get to drive it for the first time!!

Preciate it and yea breaks are definitely when a lot of work gets done. I got a list of parts, don't know if I can afford them right now though ha. And I'm graduating in May so hopefully I can find a job and get some steady [real] income.

Hey ben. As usual your car is spot on. I picked up my next project, a 27 chevy 2 door sedan. Along with some parts. I think I will build it along the same lines of the 28 delivery. but the wheel base is 101 inches instead of 107 inches. kind of a short bus delivery project...John

Good deal I've always liked 283s and 327s a lot. Hopin to get around 300 or so hp out of the one goin in this coupe. And BTW what happened to the nova with 46k on it? Wrecked?

Naw. It was a bone stock, unmolested, hardtop. A friend sold it to a guy here in colorado. For $18.000 and he is going to prolly put another 10.000 to 12.000 into it with updates. And the engine, trans, and steering column, had to go. So I bought it all for around $900.00. And it included the original 2 barrel manifold and carb. I had to buy it, because I knew the car and how well it ran...John

You've really got this on coming your way. Bet your glad all of those holes are finally done. I'm surprised you didn't smoke your drill press doing that.
BTW, great job documenting this build. A lot of young guys ought to read it "cover to cover".

Damn, I don't know how I have missed this build thread, but I sure have enjoyed the last hour I have spent on it. You are incredibly talented, and really fortunate to have had such guidance from your dad. I assume the cars in the background are his? Dead nuts on the sedan, just beautiful.
Great build, man, keep up the great work!

Love it! It's awesome to see a father/son build like this. It'll mean a lot for both of you. Enjoy it!

Got a little done today after I got home from school. A guy dad works with gave me a seat out of a '52 international truck which I started cutting down and I bought me an old Edelbrock tri power intake. Heres some pics...

this has become the quintessential "hot rodders : how to build a bad ass ride" guide! i can hardly believe all that work and one day its just sitting there as a car....just relaxing in the garage like it was meant to be. man, what a nice build!
