The woods in Wisconson should be FULL of old trailers used as deer camps! Northern Michigan is, get out and start looking! Brian
Picked this up today to pull behind my 57 Chieftain Safari, the guy i bought it from has stripped all the paint off ready for repainting but i wanted one that i could polish up the bare alluminium so this is ideal! he bought it off the original owner a year ago so i'm only the 3rd owner and you can tell it's been well looked after. it tows great, i could hardly feel it behind the T4. the interior is really good, we just plan to replace the manky carpet, replace the curtains and cover the seat foam. it has 2 single bench beds at the main table end and an ingenius fold down double bed next to the toilet compartment. it's fair to say i'm pretty chuffed with it and am looking forward to going camping in it
Maybe I already posted photos of our 'Tini Home' canned hamb (I made a pun) trailer. If so, forgive me, if not, here it is. It's a '54. Hope to start on it this year.
Where did you find this picture? It looks a lot like the camper I was talking about in my previous post.
Heres pics of a few we've had. And I used to own the Avion Don Moyer pictured, way before it was as pretty. He did it good. 63 Shasta 61 Scotty 61 yellowstone We also had a 64 Penquin and a 68 Tag-a-long
If anybody's headed to Modernism Week in Palm Springs this month there's going to be a vintage Airstream & travel trailer show at the Ace Hotel. All day the 20th. Should be some nice trailers there.
Here's one I mad last summer. Photoshopped in a army canvas top to see what she'll look like as well as the lettering and a bumper. I am most likely to make a wood top with portholes to finish it off.
What shows in the picture looks like a 'Lighthouse Duplex' Different manufacturer - lots of them left in Florida and for some strange reason - Idaho Jim
My Grandpa built 3 of these, and 2 of them went to friends. The one he kept we traveled all over Wisconsin can camped in it. Wish it was still around, last I saw one of the original 3 was in a backyard in Milwaukee. This isn't a picture of his, but one off the internet that was close. Alot of people made these out of old ambulances..
Here's a pic of mine Megan snapped last year. I hope to have it ready to use for Bonneville this summer. Alot of work....
