So let me get this straight....you are basing your opinion on something that happened 30 YEARS AGO???? Don't lump all Montanans together....and by all means, stay away!
unfortunate for you, but you probably got burned by the same outfit...(not freman) there was one old car business here in mt that was REALLY bad. the feds shut him down, but after that he opened up severel "shell" businesses, with some rather unscrupulous friends/***ociates here and in the dakotas. I remember hearing a story of him bragging that he "took" one guy not 1 but 3 times, AFTER the feds had shut his main business down!
Jonz & RMR, I don't know of any locals who buy stuff from Fremans, do you? I have one friend who had to trick them into selling him buick trim to put on a project because they wouldn't sell it to him if he wasn't using it for a restoration! Hit and miss anymore
I got a good 61 plymouth front clip from him, but I traded for it. since my family has a salvage yard as well, we tend to trade rather than purchase, works out for both parties... we had a local church in missoula that bought a 69? charger from him to build a general lee replica. the family that purchased our salvage yard inventory does a lot of business with him, yet again I thiink they trade more than purchase.

ROBERT...man there's no excuse for that kind of treatment. but mr. freman if your able to read, and somehow get this message. H.A.M.B. members are 90,000 strong and mister your in deep DO-DO...POP.
Count me out. I am perfectly willing to deal with lame*** vendors if I need what they have. I am that pain in the *** squeeky wheel they are trying to grease while putting the polite guys on the back burner.
I just got burned by paypal. Their policy on deposits is no one gets their deposits back even if its a fraud deal. I lost 300 to Reggie Hines in Mt Olive, NC. Hes a crook so watch him.
With all the people on the board ,it proly woulda been a good idea to ask about "Freman's auto".Thats what i do ,if i am gunna be exchanging money with an individual or a car related business.I find a member that lives in that area and ask about them .I have been burned too many times before. It seems as though some people new they were shady ,before you found out the hard way .I have had members ask about me when it came to a buy/sell thing ,and it doesnt bother me .It just tells me that they are smart ...
Hi, I just looked at my own profile and see that Fremans checked it after having joined the H.A.M.B.today. Now that they are members why don't we invite them to join the Alliance Vendors and be an upstanding member to see if they can regain their reputation? Just a thought -Donn
Glad to be advised, was looking to make a purchase from their "rust fee zone". Good to communiccate these bad deals. Thanx ~Sololobo~
Sorry, I KNOW there are good salvage yards out there, but in my experience when I have gone looking for something in a salvage yard it seems like the management is often a little too intent on letting me know what a "favor" they are doing for me by selling me parts. But only when the parts they have are NOT "not for sale". Since I am a person who is careful not to waste the time of others, I don't do much junk yard shopping apart from late model production yards.
Robert: Just received my '56 Plymouth bumperette and mirror tonite. Well packaged and in very good shape for used parts. Regards, Dave.
