Nope - Ben Gregory, in this straight off the street 1951 Ford, won the 250-lap race on 7/1/51 at Oakland Speedway.. Johnny Soares (98) was second followed by Hershel McGriff. Gregory's Ford still has headlights, windshield wipers and license plates!

Here are a few pics from Tri State Speedway in Haubstadt In. from the mid to late 70's Does any body have any more pics from this area of southern In. Haubstadt,Princeton or even Chandler? There were a lot of really good racing back then guys like Tommy Helfrich, Jim Scales, Wayne Coakley, Jesse Ladd in his Mustang from Paducah, Ira Bastin, Jerry Inmon from Miss. Fred Gerteisen, Don Turpen, Terry Messenger, W.T. Harris just to name a few. Thanks for any pics or info if you have them.
