Thanks man! One of those silly things that you spend hours smoothing, & you'll NEVER see it once the body is on hehe

GREAT idea on the floor! I'm doing something similar with mine but it will screwed in place so I can remove the panels to get to stuff under the floor.

    Love it! Keep us posted!

Thanks Keith! I wish I had more updates:eek:
It's crazy how I look @ some things when they are done & think "how it the hell did THAT take so long....

Brian, thanks man. It's a love/hate thing. I wish I was faster at some things, but it is what it is. I detailed the rolling chassis the other night (lame, I know) because it was really dirty from the shop. It's funny as you wipe down every bracket you kind of forget how long it took you to make just that one thing, & how many THINGS it takes to finish a car. Part of the fun, but it is crazy

Haha thanks DR. I may take up arts & crafts soon:p

It worked out ok Scoot. At least I know that all the mating surfaces are sealed up & will outlive me.

Hey, we need an update from you btw, we are overdue now!!

Jeff, I really appreciate that. I have looked over your trucks build so much. Your finished product makes everybody try harder.

Yeah right. I could teach you how to take FOREVER to finish a car, that's about it:D:D

Even if we just hang out for dinner, I'm fine with that. Or, we could use the tig torch to cook some chicken nuggets & kill 2 birds with 1 stone:p

I know! I actually uploaded a picture this morning to start an update. I have one coming. I'm going to start a combined thread that will sort of be a "race to the finish" type thread. Going to try and have it up by the end of the week. Crazy around here lately...

Keep up the work man! I'm actually glad you're ahead of me on this. The inspiration is GREAT!:cool:

Hey .... Dan ........ I've already got this down!!!:) I'm looking for some positive pointers.

I'm also stoked that you Pops got my '46 parts & ran up on a good '46 ..... that was pure LUCK of the draw.

Awesome, I really look forward to seeing where your at! It has been crazy lately, it makes you appreciate the times that we can work on our cars.

Have you posted your update yet.........:p

Me & my dad talked about this exact thing. He got from you EXACTLY what this car was missing-how cray is that?? Definitely meant to be. I was so glad to see him get this 46'. He had a 47' Ford fordor sedan project when me & my brother were kids. REALLY nice straight car. Long story short, he had to sell it before it was done to take care of family responsibilities, like many other cars he'd had.

I couldn't be happier to see him get that. Good karma came around for him on this one, plus he upgraded to a tudor!

I'm sure after he eyeballed the car in Daytona you couldn't have beat the smile off his face. I just wish you guys lived about 450 miles closer. I need a kick in the ass to get mine back on track!

Hey Doc... It is an Olds... just count the valve cover bolts and look for the letter designation on the Head... his has the Letter "G" which is a 1970-71 head.

But he does have one thing that I lust after... that damn tri-carb!!! (Hey Dan... if you're gonna git rid of that thing... send it my way!)

My car is far from perfect, still not finished and has a lot of things I need to re-do, but as you point out, I can drive it. I'll still be working on mine long after you are cruising trouble free miles.

Put a fork in it... it's done and drive the darn thing already!!!

I'm gathering parts for my next project... I'm thinking we should have our cars on the road about the same time...

Man, the tripower setup I will die with. If I ever sold that my brother would kill me. He had that on his daily driver Olds in high school, and was smart enough to take it off & bag it when he sold the car years ago. I'm glad he did:D:D

Incredible attention to detail on this, it´s about the tidiest work I´ve seen on here. Can´t wait to see it done.

Thank you all very much for the kind words, I always appreciate it a ton but I especially needed that today. As of today, add me to the "I lost my job" list.

I worked for a company, that like many others, has been struggling. Bottom line is that my position has been eliminated. It bothers me most because I loved my job, & cared for it as if it were my own company.

The saving grace is that I have a family that would do anything for me. My father, mother, & brother's support will help get me through this, as they have many times. I am so thankful to have them.

Sorry for the WAY off topic post. The sun will rise tomorrow, I am sure. Another bump in the road that we all face at some point, and I will recover

    Dan

That BLOWS ..... I too have, in the past, been a victim of corperate downsizing. No fun ... best of luck in your venture to find new employement.

That really sucks man. A man with your dedication to your job cannot go long with out some offers. I really can't stand how many people are without jobs these days.
