  1. Whoa Dyce- that old Dakota tin is yummy.
I,m one of these 'gonna do it one day types. I'm getting thru some tarps, but I'm surprised how easy the weather is on my old car. Will douse it in fish oil on Friday, and check the drain holes etc.

here are a few. the first two will never see the road again. the last is my 39 chevy. guy had the whole truck 10 years ago. it was an original ohio truck that ran and was all original when he got it from the first owners. was going to make a rod out of it? well as the story goes it sat and sat. as he slowly sold off most of the truck for whatever reason. when i got to it the body was all that was left. it was all over this old scrap yard he owned. i had to walk all over to find the parts. the only thing i never found was the running boards. he was so surprised how rusted the cab got over the past 10 years. thats what you get leaving it on 2x4s outside in NE ohio. guy would have never sold it i bet if his wife sadly didnt pass away and he was selling off every thing he had for extra cash to pay for christmas presents for his son. i felt bad for his hard luck. but im glad i got to save one. i told him i would take him for a ride when it was done. since he will nevere get a chance to build it.

We used to go up to my grandparents by Madison on saturdays in the fall (no leaves). We would jump in farm pickup and drive all day looking for cars. Wish I had a camera on those trips!!! That was in the mid 1970's and it was all over. I heard na to rough, or na nobody likes those. Found lots of good stuff though!!

This one sits near where I live,... It sat outside all last winter, And I seen it again today, The guy that owns it has had just about every car guy in the county ask about it, but his answer is always the same,.... "Nah, you don't want that thing, besides where would the cats sleep ?

Can you imagine that ?

Took these while on a walk with my fiance. They were on a walking trail that went behind the old part of a junkyard.

I've contacted the owners of the place and they told me if I could get some of those "old wrecks" out of their woods I could have them. So it looks like I'll be needing a bigger garage.

Hard to tell from the 1st 2 pics, but how many cars are there? Too bad it looks like they're pretty picked over/damaged.

Out doing some photo work for a guy this AM. He had this Desotochero in the yard. I asked him about it and he said his father in law had built it in the '50's because he had a body shop and couldn't afford a pickup, so he made one. He said you could stand a silver dollar on it's side when that hemi was idling. Some of these things are like grave markers. You don't even ask.

Found this a few years ago in the middle of Tucson AZ. just off the interstate, seems every one in Tucson has known about this car for years, and of course not for sale.

This was in my friend's parent's woods for the past 40 years. It had been laying on it's side for I don't know how long. The driver's side is about completely rusted off. There are a few small odds and ends I can use on my other F-6 pickup.

I saved this thing from becoming little sub-compact cars in 2008. Poor thing had been sitting behind some round bales in a farmer's field. I had seen it for years just sitting there and one day I decided to ask about it. Guy told me he was getting sick of looking at it and was going to bring it in for scrap. After hearing that I knew what I had to do. A quick exchange of 400 bucks and I was the proud owner of a 54 Packard. He threw in a 6 volt battery and to my amazement it actually started without putting gas down the carb. Now it didn't run real good but considering the situation I figured some fresh gas that wasn't old as heck would have made a world of difference. I left my motorcycle there and drove it home 12 miles. Wound up giving it to my dad for his birthday a few months later.

I'm going to show a few[50-70s] that will never make it out....But the turkey hunting was good.

The trunk of the 67 camaro r/s has the key in it still. Not an emblem missing...on any car.
    And the junk piles...everywhere.
