And that's the only washington blue Model a Hot Rod? I can see a total difference in the two and paint should not be the thing that sets your car apart from the crown.

Do it in green then with a darker green belt line. I just think that blue is one of the coolest colors for a coupe.

Yeah I like the one Bad Bob posted.

  7. Jeffery, I actually like that color too, I just did the first color scheme Bob posted and he mentioned Hunter green. The other thing is that the owner of the Blue coupe changed his wheel to blackwalls and is in the same area as Bob.

Hey Bob, no prob on the photoshopping!

Well, I'm glad this thread topic has come about, because, I too was a little unsure what color to paint my '31 coupe. But, ultimately, I decided on one color.

  10. never liked two colour cars but i like the green n black with the window surrounds green.
the corsairs coupe looks awesome too and im not a fan of brown.
anyway, its only paint and you can change it if you dont like it.

Dont lie Bob, you are lookin for acceptance from all of us...LOL !

  15. All I can say is that it needs a GOOD "BOB" callout on the beltline of the drivers door  :D

  16. This one won't have any names on it,except for "Roadtoad" on the dash. One apple green pinstripe on the beltline also.

  17. Well....almost done! Still have to do the trunk and rear panel. Masking around the windows sucked!!!! I was tempted to leave all the top black, but I think the green around the windows looks great.

Don't be confused...it's NOT EVER gonna be a show car, just a driver! So I didn't want to sink a bunch of money in a paint job. I just wanted to get rid of the rusted up look. I used satin paint so it would look aged. Still gonna scuff it to knock the sheen off.

  18. Gonna try to finish it today, before the rain comes back!!!!

I saw a Mini Cooper the other day that had a really cool paint scheme - Online I found that the color is called oxygen blue, with a black top.

I like it Bob and the interior is just right!

  23. The interior will have to wait for more funds. It will be all black, pleated seat and door panels. Very simple...

  24. great job Bob, the paint looks just like your rendering.

  25. Thanks Abe. I tried real hard to make it happen. I just wish I would have had enough money to make it a nice paintjob. That's okay though...won't slow it down any!!! haha! If I keep it long enough,i'll get me a Duece frame and redo the whole car...

    Slick as snot.

    I dig it.

  27. I had the same dilema 30yrs ago when i painted mine. Originaly i was was going for taupe, or however you spell that. I'm sure someone will correct that. Ahem.
Ready to spray, i changed my mind to black. Never regreted it. Except for the upkeep.

Bob, she looks like a keeper. I love the window trim in green. May be low buck, but still looks great.
