What's up with this picture being "backwards" ?
The numbers on the plate are backwards -- and the steering wheel is on the wrong side.........
I'm thinking someone reversed it in Photoshop or something ?

 

No, the negative was placed upside down in the enlarger when the print was made. Not
uncommon back then; often seen in mags. when editors were "asleep at the wheel", trying to make deadlines.

Over here it looks like the steering wheel is in the right spot.

This photo is of a poker run check point somewhere in the Santa Cruz mountains in 1952.
You can just make out the club plaque on the Studebaker owned by one time Swanx Oakland President, Art "Waggy" Wagner.
