I just a few moments ago witnessed the Gene Winfield Shop Truck move under it's own power... Amazing.

Everyone in going to the GNRS should be VERY excited!

hey ... saw the picture with you and the "Bonneville Bomber" back in the 50's and thought I'd share these pics of her at Billetproof in Chehalis, Wash last summer.

Cool! With all the restos being done on vintage rods and customs, GNRS needs to create a "comeback car of the year" award. This would get my vote.

I've been watching this thread from day 1 and I've got to say that the restoration looks absolutely stunning. Kudos to you guys for bringing her back to life ... Gene's going to be very proud.

  13. I saw the truck last year at Autorama. Pretty rough but a good "barn find" condition. You guys have done a great job in only a year. Looking forward to seeing it again in its finished condition.

Putting the final touches on the truck right now. It is basicly done. Doing some final buffing on the body then it will go on the lift to get the underside cleaned up and buffed. Loading it up Monday and heading out Tuesday for the GNRS.

  19. Congratulations on finishing the restoration, and you even get a decent nights' sleep before you have to get on the road in the morning. You guys are good! Usually for most builds, it's an all night thrash up until the last possible minute before you have to leave for the show.

This "Bonneville Bomber" was built by Doug Rice of Aberdeen, WA in the '50's and has been owned by Donnie Richardson of Hoquiam, WA for many years.
