Yellow paint.....the "most" Hot Rod yellow of yellow!

Submit a pic of a yellow car and tell the name/number of the paint.

Yes, I know pictures are not the same as seen the car "alive"....but it doesn´t matter to me.....

    Thanks! // bye...

  10. This is Mustang Chrome Yellow about 1999 or 2000 color. If you want something even brighter, you can do what I did back in the 80s.I went to my local paint dealer and got him to mix up a custom yellow to be as I told him, "The brightest yellow you can make".He did.I sprayed a 65 Vette in my garage and when I took it out into the sun later to wet sand it,it was so blindingly bright that I could hardly focus on the car.It was like trying to wet sand a bright light bulb.I got tired of it cause it was too bright.I repainted it red a couple of years later.

  11. Though it may not be HAMB friendly, it is yellow. My sisters '58 Beetle I restored for her. The color is 1951 Packard - Corona Creme.

O/T car but it a factory Ford color . 1995 Mustang. the picture is deceiving the yellow is brighter than it appears. Dodge had a bright yellow in 1970 on the Dart Swingers (Banana yellow?)

Off Topic for sure, but we like it.

Nugget Gelb (yeah, it's German) from a late 70's VW Corrado.

When I was a painter, found the best and brightest yellow was the mid-70s corvette yellow, can't remember the code but it's easy to find. The paint formula had a slight amount of black toner mixed in, we left that out, haha. It looked really really good.

This pic was taken in the spring of 1956. The pic is quite faded.
The color was lemon chrome yellow. It came as a tinting color only at that time.
Supposedly it was the brightest thing available at that time.

Chrome yellow from ppg is what I used on our 35 coupe. It was the base mixing color in laquer (dma 322).

My 55 is 75 Corvette yellow. I got the car painted in 78, and it seemed there weren't as many color choices available in yellow as there are now. I picked the color from a little postage stamp-sized color chip. I had a 55 Chevy truck a few years later, which I painted 77 Corvette yellow. The two colors are way different...75 Vette yellow seems to have a little green in it, while 77 Vette yellow has a little more "egg yolk" color to it. Neither one is a real pure, bright eye-searing yellow.

Like someone mentioned earlier, lemon yellow toner used to be about as bright as you could get, but if I was picking a yellow color now, I'd go for Fruehauf or Ferrari yellow.
