huh? your out your mind homie!!! hijacked ???

    btw...
i really enjoy cheese! colbyjack being my favorite i think...well, unless its pizza. i like to add a Lil cheddar and alot of fresh mozzarella ...then a Lil Parmesan on top of that! boy howdy, that makes for a finea pizza pie!!!! funny, my kids used to call Parmesan, stinky cheese, or sprinkle cheese! that used to really crack me up! i remember this one time when i was a kid...my dad was dating the bearded lady from one eyed Willy's flying feline circus show...we had just got done dumpster diving when dad found this barely eatin piece of pepperoni pizza!! so Arlene [the bearded lady] says to me...................

A big thanks to TudorJeff for putting this together. Jim and I were unable to make it to Granite City, but we were happy to catch up at the shop. What a great group and good to see so many unknown faces. Thanks to all who braved the fog to journey from far away.

Wow! That's about all i can say is Wow! I was so glad to see every one who came out to hang with us at HAMB on the Rocks. I don't have an exact count because there were a few people who only had lunch and a few who only went to Hopperstad's but it was a little over 60 people. Granite City took good care of us. The food was good, it came out fast and everyone I talked to said theirs was great too.

Many many thanks to Kerry and his wife for hosting the garage crawl after lunch. She made a bunch of good cookies and every time I saw Kerry he was busy showing somebody something on one of the cars in his shop.

Even with the fog and somewhat crappy weather, we had some Tin Butchers, Primates, Sock Fuckers, a Blacktop Baron and even an extra-tall Chrome Czar for reaching things on the top shelf. We had people from Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, and I think from Indiana. Plus big props to the Bombers from Peoria too. They brought a huge group of themselves as well as a bunch of OG hot rodders from their town.

My only regret is that I didn't have time to sit down an visit with each and every person who came out. Not sure how we can top today, but everyone seemed to have a great time and lots of people said we should plan another one. I'm basically just glad that we all got off the couch today! Thanks to all!

    ~Jeff

I regret not making lunch. I sure wish I could have met everybody. For those that made it to Hopperstad's, I was the one handing out calendars and showing off my drag racing photos. Please introduce yourselves.

Thanks Jeff and Kerry. I had a blast, it was awesome to finally meet Rusty1, I wanted to meet Bobwop, but completely got a magazine from him but didn't introduce myself, he was busy and I was awe struck being in Hopperstad's shop.

Everytime I looked somewhere else I saw something I didn't see the first time, like the Belly tank that was hanging above my head for more than 20 minutes before someone pointed it out :)

Kerry was a great host, I asked some quick questions that are trivial to him and instead of just answering, he explained them and told me how and why its done that way, he also helped me realize that no matter how bad the project is, it CAN be fixed, and done RIGHT.

Kerry is a great craftsman and a great asset to hot rodding!

Jeff thanks again for breaking up this long winter with such a great little (big crowd) get together!

I think next time we should all stop and introduce ourselves as I know there were people there that I would have liked to met.

    THANKS AGAIN!!!

    Awesome pics Retribution!

The "Meet and Greet" was at Granite City. Due to the crappy weather in Illinois and having to deliver a car to Decatur, then pick up a trailer in Morris, I just wasn't able to make for the M&G. Had planned to, but the fog was so bad all day that I lost too much time on the road.

Anyway, I made it to Hopperstads, but the group were all digging the projects, etc.

And I am usually not real visable and blend into the crowd too well.

Ya Todd I know what you mean about stinky cheese. Aged brick, now that will make your fingers stink. That is what I thought stink finger actually meant, you know cheese eaters. Ya there is a place (tavern) in Monroe WI that serves cheese samwhiches. Lots of people talk about it. I was there once, it was along time ago and it was not with my dad either, but I know what you mean. Then there is those brats with cheese in them. The cheese oozes out while you cook them(well thats what i was told anyway.) Brats with cheese I bet you would like them. I knew a lady. Her name was Veera and she had one big eye brow and she would........
