not true, a savvy pawn shop owner could take you to court for that on the basis of "wrongful interference with a business relationship".
just like you can't go INTO or stand in front of target and entice people to shop at walmart. it's illegal.

oh come on Dave! So you already jump to conclusions that I am already planning on selling the wheel and tire. You know what, funny you say that because I dont even have the wheel and tire anymore! I gave it to a fellow that contacted me that is restoring a model T roadster that used to run at the lakes and Bonneville. I gave it to him because it was for a good cause. Its going to a good home and is going on a restoration of a beautiful historic car. I do not think most guys would do that huh? Please answer that. I guarentee you 99% of people who would of picked that wheel up just like the "pickers" would of, and try to sell it the next day and to make a quick buck. Oh this was a garage sale too.

  5. I can't believe that we are the only two that saw that club plaque that they bought at that lady's house. It was neat to see but I suddenly had an uneasy feeling that those two guys didn't whole-heartedly appreciate where that plaque might have come from. They were all about that it was "collectable." The club plaque was call the Headers. Anyone know any info on them? I'll bet it either was on ebay or is heading there soon.

    Mike

  6. I did a thread on it,but can't find it! There was the Coke chest,a lawnmower with no motor, set of skis, table and a Mercedes 450sl hardtop. Looking back on it now,I should have grabbed the top too! I hear I could have sold it for a couple thousand...

  7. I saw that! I couldn't read the name on it though. Headers huh...Wonder if it was an old club?

speaking of scum, we have that free cycle site where people post up free stuff, lady put up a vintage sears band saw on a rolling table, router .router table, all accessories, two 26 inch bikes in nice shape, pool table and a bunch of other stuff , all free, well the site moderator saw the ads for the good stuff, contacted the poster, took EVERYTHING for herself, then posted up the ad knowing everything was gone, what a you know what, what do you bet she flips it all? the site is supposed to be about giving stuff to people for free, she's keeping it all herself. It's against national forum rules for her to even do that. the free cycle network is supposed to be about giving others a chance to get the stuff, not steal it all for yourself

I thought the same thing after some looking around Hudson and Nash where the same companies. That car looks to be a 54 Hudson Metropolitan.

I walked into an antique store that I was in 3 yrs ago-same stuff is there w/price tags that are so faded out you could hardly read them. WWWay too much for what it is. With the economy the way it is now you'd think they'd try to sell something. And,no,I didn't ask if they'd come down in $$$,I figured it hasn't moved, they don't care. I was interested in the show a little, just have gotten so sick up and fed w/reality shows. sooo much stupidity,I mean drama. OCC-this is still on?!? (in my best Homer Simpson voice) STUPID.

you didn't close it so it must be 1/2 OK? It isn't directly about trad hot rods, but it is about something we can all relate to....... collecting old junk, cool old junk.
Sorry Metalshapes I started this thread cause I thought it was a cool show that we can relate to, and unfortunately it turned to drama, fun drama at that. thanks!
