No KKOA Sled Scene East in 2010?

Just went to the KKOA website to look for info on this year's Sled Scene East.
It was moved to Maryland last year. Looks like it's gone from the event list.

The KOA took over their old venue and dates in Biglerville, PA (near Gettysburg) and will be running their show again there this year.

Location, Location, and Location.

 

I enjoyed the KKOA event a few years ago in Biglerville. Anybody know the date for this year's show? What's the KOA...different from KKOA?

 

I'll be greatly disappointed if the event doesn't make it for the second year at the new location. The drag strip was a much better site than just sitting around in a field. First time is always a trial. Running the 1/4 mile sure adds something to the event.

 

KKOA= Kustom Kemps of America KOA= Kustoms of America They are two different clubs. If its true Sad to hear KKOA not not going to have a show out there this year love there shows.

 

The guy that put on the KOA event told me he has a 10 year contract for Bigelerville. I think the dates are 11,12,and 13th of June.

 

I really like the show when it was in Bigelerville . Had a nice big field and always found a few things from the vendors and swap meet I could use . Was really nice being 25 mins away . Didn't go to the KOA last year . I was hoping that the show in Maryland was going to keep going . I heard many great things about the show and was planing on going this year . the track was a real plus ! I am going to miss that show !
Anyone go to the KOA last year ?

I went to the KOA Biglerville show last year as well as the last 10 years when it was the KKOA. The show was alright but it was nowhere near the high point years of the KKOA in the same park. I remember when the show was so packed that the cars were out the front gate and it was standing room only. Those were the days! It's been slowly peetering out over the last 5 years unfortunately.

Too bad because it's such a great venue...except for the stink from the apple sauce factory when the wind was just right.

 

I won't go to ANY KOA events. I'm going to miss the KKOA Sled Scene East.

 

I agree.....I'm proud to say that I drag a KKOA plaque behind my Merc and that I'm
with them for life. Maybe you can cruize by Salina this year....
