Here is the plaque I had on my 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix sled back in 1994 before moving to Tempe Az. I will be restoring it back and put it on my 32 Hot Rod Lincoln in front of the spreader bar.

  11. I would love to find an old plaque from the club my dad was in back in the sixties. the name was the Ventures car club from either Cicero, or Berwyn Illinois. The only thing is, he doesnt even remember if thay had plaques, let alone what one looked like.

The aristocrats of kansas city formed in early 1959, there are 6 of us left . Our plaques have been on some cool rods and customs over the years. The one on the left still rides on the front of my 41 lincoln.what a great run we have had the last 50+ years.

My Hot Rod & Custom Car Clubs book has a Ventures - Cook County listed. I'm not sure if Cicero or Berwyn are in Cook County but this could be the same club if they are. And if they are, contact Dennis O'Brien as he has the pattern for that club's plaque.

  19. Could this be the one? Hey, what the heck, if your father can't remember if they even had plaques, who would know this isn't the one:D If you're still in the area and ran one of these on your car at some local shows, you might just get some old timers to come out of the woodwork and identify themselves!

Why don't you post a larger photo of your plaque here so I can add it to the Kansas City page on our website?

I wasn't a member but took that photo when I went to see a guy's plaque collection. I'm sure he wasn't a member either as he grew up in the San Fernando Valley.

Maybe one of the old farts on here knew of this club or belonged to it.

  30. Hemidude, I wasn't a member but I can tell you that there were at least two orders made of these plaques from the Chicago Metal Craft company of Port Chicago, California that went out of business in the late 60's,

Here's a picture of the original pattern that they used to make your club's plaques. If you need any new, new old stock plaques, let me know:)
