You can get replica Porsche Speedster screens and frames from the Kit car guys.

JamesD is being subtle and suggesting style , and I tend to agree .....

Boats screens on cars will always be boat screens .:)

I liked the suggestion of a grille shell from the front fenders. I also added a slight cove to the firewall sides (and a matching one on the grille). I think it´s a bit lacking in shape in that area without some small feature like that.

james d you always nail it!! great eye, and imagination you have, and im sure alot people here appreciate it!

  8. THAT is it! I've been watching this thread, and thinking of a front grille and surround that would be appropriate...boy, that sets that car off in a big way, James! I like the Porsche w/s idea, too. Since Brian is going with silver, and USAF fighters of the day were also that color, why not go with a paint scheme similar to an F-100 or F-104? The F-100 has a nose very similar towhat is pictured above!!! Just a thought!

I think if anyone in the future feels the desire to cut up a car, the result had better be like this car. The whole thing seems to come together like it was planned that way all along, but Brian has admitted he is doing things without a master drawing or concept. Very neat car!

Folks, we have a winner. Now, Lime Gold and Pearl white rolled and pleated interior, skinny whites and polished 5 spokes. Well, that's how I see it anyway...:D

I like the 54 Corvette windshield myself.

The trunk lid will probably oil-can in the middle since the top and bottom inside frames don't connect - an easy fix, add some more inside frame from the scrap of the old trunk.

    Tres cool...

Epay item 350293791802 is a 53-5 Vette windshield for $229 + $110-140 shipping. Getting a frame might be harder, not sure how hard it would be to make one.

    Thanks! :)

It´d be nice to see some better pictures with the new wheels/tyres/headers/cross ram on it.

same here. great work, very creative. i think these chopped down finned car roadsters are really cool. not a fan of the boat windshield. maybe you can find a late 40's or early 50's split windshield to chop down (from a parts car of course).

The backside of that makes me think of one of those anime characters -- some cat with pointy ears. Seems like you could do something with that to make folks behind you notice -- kind like the "smily face" on those "Smart Cars"

I agree a hemi would be nice, but with those headers and the cross ram who's gonna notice the SBC?

But if at some point the wish to go all MOPAR strikes consider the old "Slant 6"-- just think what you could do with all those exhaust ports and the extra space:D

    Incredible work!

Seen a lot of banter here about the grille shell design.
I think it needs to have some of the original plymouth elements to tie it into the rest of the vehicle. I think the headlights, trim and fronts of the fenders need to be used off the original plymouth.

    this is just for ideas.
Canted headlights, mesh grill, drawer pulls on the grill.
Play around with the shape or grill opening. Your car, do what ever you like.
But maybe grab some ideas off of this.

Just my 2 cents worth but I like this windsheild the others looked to boaty and almost gave it a ((( someone don't know what there doing ))) look , you've done such a great Job please don't go with the first two boat window ideas the look of this idea is a great add to the car altho I'm not to crazy about the grill here , perhaps something like a fiftys vette grill scaled down or a 55 chevy grill or a 41 willys grill maybe ? it sounds cool to me but may not look so good ,,, By the way I know you've heard it a million times BUT , WOW your doing a beautiful job

Maybe I like the Speedster w/s because it looks sorta like the MGB w/s I used on the '36.;) That might work for you too, and it wouldn't look "boaty", or like "someone doesn't know what they're doing".:D

Seriously cool project, I like the enthusiasm we readers of the thread have for your car. It's great.

OMFG! Way to ruin a great restorable plymouth. There hard to find as it is. Your as bad as Steven King, trashin all those Plymouths to make Christine.

Yeah they only made 726,000 Plymouths that year... not nearly enough...
    over 110,000 were 4 door Belvedere's
So not really rare, now shut your piehole and let the dude build his car.
