Have any of you seen anything about a all steel model a sedan body that someone is selling?

I guy here in town was telling me that someone is now making a brand new steel sedan 28 -31 but he does not know who. I have looked but I have not found anything on it yet so I thought I would ask.

it would either be 28-29 or 30-31 not both. the bodies are significantly different in the firewall/ a piller area.

aside from the model A roadsters and rpu's that brookville is doing and the 1928-1929 pick up that aussie company is doing, i have never seen another model A body style being repopped. i can't imagine they would start doing sedans again before coupes though.

Saw an ad for a fibergl*** A sedan, but nothing in steel. Cant remember if its 28-29, or 30-31. You can get it stock, chopped, channeled, or chopped and channeled. But its $$pricey$$.

I haven't seen anything but after looking at overpriced rusted out hulks lately it sure would be interesting. The last body I looked at had a perfect chop but was so rusted through in so many places that 3/4 of it below the belt line would have had to be replaced.

The bodies for sale on that link lowongas provide look pretty plain. No molded body lines, roof line is absolutely flat, not sure I dig the firewall/cowl shape. However they do have a cool looking mini pickup cab.

Dont sound like what he was talking about, I guess I will wait and see if he can find the ad. It was probably the Fibergl*** one that he thought was steel.

I dont care for those but the go cart is alright.

Wow that really looks like ****. I'd rather have a half rusted, rolled over piece of **** then one of those "new" bodies.

  18. You can't even buy repop 30-31 coupe quarters, no one is going to repop a tudor sedan body when you can buy a decent complete A tudor for about five grand. You couldn't afford to sell them cheap enough for anyone but the biggest high rollers to pay for them, and how many guys with that kind of scratch are going to buy a repop A when they can buy a repop '32 for similar money?

I can't imagine offering something like that as an example of his workmanship. Absolutely pathetic.

I wish someone would start making new "A" coupe bodies. Myself, I would rather have an A coupe than a deuce roadster.

As far as those things from new metal customs (not gonna call them a hot rod by any stretch of the imagination) they are so ugly that they make some r** rods look good. Those are horrible, I have seen 1/4 scale vintage midgets that look more realistic than those things.

Somebody should sell that guy some metalworking tools, maybe an english wheel and a metal forming course to start. and possibly show him what a compound curve is.
