So, car #1 won? Cool, and good to see that he drives it.

Ryan, Did you see that a couple of the cars you picked were in the running for the AMBR? Good eye. Still that 32' Roadster p/u is the roadster that did it for me from all the angles of what the "H-AMBR" is.

I came in too late to vote, but I would have gone for #1. 10 absolutely stunning cars, but I gotta say there was an awful lot of non-traditional content in most of these cars.

#7 all the way. I like a "Real Hot Rod" as much as the next guy, but this isn't about who's really driving their car. To me it's about the best that the very best can do.

Roy Pigford is right up there with the best builders to have ever walked the earth.

Besides car shows are judged differently from how regular folks look at cars. It's gonna be hard to win without fenders.

  10. Logan is the nicest guy in the industry. He deserves some credit for his skill and knowledge. Glad his car stayed on top

What would make one think Logans car is 'Glass ???

I can assure you all, This car is NOT 'Glass .. Matter of fact, This car is built with All Original Early parts... Even an original '32 frame.

This a REAL Owner built, In the Garage .... I was there and seen it all.
Driven Hard with a Hot Flathead & Closed drive.. NO Late Model BullShit on this car .

First off, I want to say thanks to all the people on the HAMB who voted. Pertaining to the build on the car, thanks to my paint/body guy, Jerry Armstrong and to the person who has been my Hot Rod mentor for the past 6 years, Allen Decker.

This is the first time I've ever posted a message but I felt that a proper thank you was necessary to show my appreciation for winning this poll. The fact that I was in the running with the rest of these cars is amazing and I feel honored to have been chosen.

I read some posts about me not getting recognition in the past so I'm taking this as a sign that maybe things will start to turn around for me. For those of you who don't know me, I've been working on cars for over 15 years and about six years ago I tried getting a business going under Milestone Hot Rods. Unfortunately it didn't take off so I pursued other career opportunites. A year and a half ago I enlisted into the Navy Reserve and as soon as I got home I realized that working on cars will always be my passion and I can't give up on my dreams. Winning this award encourages me to believe that I need to stick to building cars.

So maybe with enough name "recognition" I can ressurect the Milestone Hot Rod dream. Every car I build is a personal milestone and whether I get recognition or not, I'm still going to keep doing what I love.

I'll always have projects of my own, but I still currently work on other people's cars too. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to share pictures of past and current projects.

Once again, thanks to everyone who has fueled my hot rod disease.

    Congrats Logan.

BTW, any of these cars from the poll and pretty much any of the other cars in the run for the AMBR were far better cars than the one that won the AMBR.

    Congrats to all of you!

Hey that is why I asked. It just looked like the inside of the door was glass in the picture. If you don't ask you'll never know right?

I'd still like to hear the story behind car #5's deckid.

  17. Way to go Logan! The award you won means more than that other big award they give at this show. Being honored by people who understand real hot rods is truly an honor and it is so cool to see you win. You always had respect and recognition from people in the know and now the word is really getting out! Good for you man!

This car is stunning! The build quality and attention to details (from what you can tell from 4 pictures) is just amazing.

  21. #1; its clean, its simple, its true
no airplane gauges, no fake patina, no steering with a chain???
Its simlpy a hot rod, and the tires are evidence that it actually was driven more than a few round the block.
That rod has it for me !

There is ANOTHER award????? Oh you mean that meaningless skyscraper thingy.... sorry but that has been so debased that it no longer has any significance.

This award is the one that counts - congrats Logan on a thoroughly deserved win.

I'm glad that Hudson Joe's track roadster was considered. He was very honored to be a part of that.
