Hot Rods Mexican blanket pic thread

    I just placed it on my Comet

    Now I need to tapper it and pin it in place. Any suggestions would be great help for me.

    I just did mine last night(with some help from mom and my brother). I had to make all new panels, mine were too far gone for a pattern. Salvaged the stainless trim and arm rests. Here's the before:

    Very nice DJ63 and 56ponchowagon.

    I don't know if this counts or not, but I keep this one in my truck and the coupe for when I take my dog with me. I got her one for a dog bed when I was in Mexico, and she thanked my by chewing a hole in it. :D

    Ha-Ha! That IS funny. Actually, on my way back from Florida to PA last week, I did stop in a Stuckeys in Georgia got a pair for $7 each. Mexican blankets in Georgia & the guy behind the counter was from India...only in America.

    I'm thinking of doing something similar in my 48 Desoto. Since my interior is toasted. Just temp until I can afford some real upholstry work.

    Here's mine. A buddy of mine did the seats with the original vinyl color and blanket inserts. I did the door panels to match.
