Love that Fury a lot. Realize that it's a little too new to be HAMBish, but still: wow.

I went out and tried to shoot some of the Caddy...but I guess my digital camera decided it was too old...the pix all came out dark...so nothing to see. Guess I'll have to borrow my son's SLR...

    Surely you meant 'quiet'...???

And the answer to that is yes, cuz I've been working feverishly on my Caddy...and doing some minor stuff on Dan's...busybusybusy...!!!

Thanks for the pics, looks like it was a pretty spectacular show!

Does anyone recognize this 3 window? It's the one Chrisp built at Hollywood Hotrods. Just an unbelievable amount of metalwork! He posted up the whole build here on the hamb, here's the link:

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=163762

Funny how no name is mentioned with regard to the metalwork on the show plaque, but we learn who made the dashknobs...

Kool can't wait to see the Caddy pics......Quiet? I don't know what ya mean..

Killer ride! Rodders Journal should do a feature on the three window. One of the best ever.

That once more explains why 99% of all Mercs out there are ****ed up.

The car looks timeless cause it's almost stock.Robert's Vicky has been around for quite some time and was shown at shows before but seems most people didn't notice it cause it's so subtle.

Richard Zocchi's car has potential. To me,he ruined the car with the paintjob and straight hood corners would look much better. This is a 60's razor edge-styled car which would look killer painted in a light metallic color typical for that time.Factory paint would outrule the current paint by far.I think you shouldn't restyle a 60's car with styling tricks of the 50's.

The stance on the Hollywood Hot Rods car is just wrong.

    MY two cents.

Going through Rikster’s web site I love this Chevy with the Caddy grill and Buick taillights.
It is a very cl***y improvement.

A question about this Bill Hines built Mercury does anybody remember what the dash was out of, maybe '57 Cheby?

  12. I believe that's a Polara, if you're talking about the fastback Mopar.

Rick did say it was Sam's car and the pictures he sent me seem to be from Ricks shop and he said that Bill Hines did the majority of the work on the car. Just p***ing on what I was told.

This is a quote from the email Rick sent me.

"Yes. Car will be first showen at the gnrs. Theres over 10 years in the build. Majority of the build was done by Bill Hines."

  23. Amen to that!!!! No custom looks better without a hood.

  24. My buddy Don Caldwell's been messin with Muscle Car type Hot Rods for years. So, I think he adapted VERY well when building that Caddy! When he told me he was building a "custom", I had visions of some hot rod Chevelle. WOW, you rocked it Don!

Actually they are not "upside down"...note the backup lense...would it be on top of the fender..????

They sit that way on the Buick, just up higher and there is a slight bump in the fender ahead of the taillight.

There's a two part article on how Bill Hines chopped the top of that Merc in the Jan 1999 issue of Custom Rodder.

That's Fabian Valdezs' Chevy (HAMBER) it's not finished. Fabian is an incredible metal guy and did all the work on my 32 re-build. He is the main man of the Bean Bandits and one hell of a nice guy. This is his car and my car at Father's Day Pomona last year.
