The Blues aint been right since Stevie Ray Vaughan p***ed away either The Blues died long before that, even before the rock'n'roll died.
I have all that music on MP3's. American Culture was changed forever in that split second, and I think it was intentional. After that, the "British Invasion" was shoved down our throats, and our American Culture was divided. "Damn Hippies",'Tune in~Drop Out","Shaken not Stirred",,lol. That's why I love it here,,,Memories!!!
Buddy was a great and gifted musician! Here's a link to the Surf Ballroom, the last place he played: https://www.surfballroom.com/ I plan on making a trip there sometime.
I heard a really ****py cover of "Rave On" the other day on the radio. Not only was it ****py no one in the room around me knew the original song!!! I was offended. Am I crazy for feeling this way? Musicians nowadays cant write anything they just keep repopping and clipping old songs to rework them. My generation is so damn lazy!
Here's an interesting video on what is supposedly Holly's '58 Chevy. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mppMPqfe1FY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mppMPqfe1FY&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
****in A man, there is no music these days. You were right to be offended, hell I HATE that reggae **** but I can pick a Marley song. So is Buddy's 58 still there or what? And I'm sorry, Buddy rocked and LOVE his music but Ritchie Valens was the real ROCKER out of that trio. Doc.
A huge loss to the rock and roll world....and everyone who enjoyed real music.... I'll be playing them all today...LOUD and PROUD. R.I.P.
Lets not forget there were 2 other talents that died that day too... RIP Buddy, JP Richardson & Ritchie Valens
