    Hey Guys,

I happen to be new on this form. I have always wanted a cool Hot Rod but have not bumped into something for sale that really struck my interest. Well, today I ran into an orignal metal body 1926 T-Bucket Hot Rod. This Hot Rod has a 1969 350/ 3 duces /350 turbo trans with a ford 9 inch rear. She runs really good and really doesn't need much to hit the road.

My question to all of you experts with these cars, waht would be a good price for her? It also does have the cloth convertible top, chrome front suspension and looks BAD Azz. Any one know what the price should be?

See the photos attached below of the Rod! Your input would be greatly apprciated. I really like the car but don't know the worth and don't want to be upside down.

Welcome to the Hamb. First thing first Rat Rod is a bad word in these parts. Call it a Hot rod or you will get a bunch of e-dicks shitting all over your post.
    #2. Please do an intro
#3 If you like the car offer what you think is a fair price. Its just like anything else. Its worth what you are willing to pay for it.
    Have a good one!

Sorry Man about the Evil Word, As I mentioned I'm new with these types or rides and am looking for expert opinions. I agree that if you like it buy it but you need to have a base line on the price to know what to offer.

boy... 2 strikes with your first post.

    1. the panties in a bunch club here hates the term RAT ROD.

    2. what's it worth threads are annoying also.

as for what it is worth.... not enough good pics to even make a guess.

I think your best bet is to look on line in for sale section. Or on ebay... Not trying to be a dick I just don't know.

Oh yeah. looks like a neat car. Would love to see more pics of it. Whats the inside look like?

JWSbigblock don't stop posting than the keyboard tough guys WIN. Just do a search first and if that doesn't work, chime in on another thread that is similar to the question you want answered and ask it.

Glad your aboard, there are alot of great people here like fatbob and me who are willing to help.

    JWSbigblock,
Welcome to the HAMB. Best advice is to do your homework. Look at the classifieds here and on hotrodhotline and elsewhere for comparables. This will give you a rough idea of what's out there and what asking prices are. Prices will vary considerably depending on build quality and components...i.e. fiberglass, or steel body, etc. The differences are not always readily apparent without careful scrutiny. The more you know, the better off you'll be. Take a knowledgeable person with you to check out the car before buying. It's a buyer's market, so good luck.

Too bad this guy wasn't just born knowing how to use this forum! I don't post alot because of this kind of frat boy bashing shit but I got to chime in for this new guy.

    Jim,
The searches are great and there are some fantastic pictures, ideas, how too's and people on here. Hot Rodding is something you learn as time goes and you will grow to love it, but as always there are some people that just can't wait to piss on your parade. Don't let it bother you. Look at it like a big brother razzing you. It is only natural to have questions when you are learning and at one time these guys busting your tail didn't know it all and had questions too, they just forgot those days. I am glad you are interested in Hot Rodding, Thats what this site is about after all..

Sounds good, I beleive this 1926 would be a great start. She runs great and the guy that is willing to sell it to me will repaint the entire ride and re-pinstripe her. (he does this for a living) He wants someone to buy it and get her back on the road. He has other projects now to deal with and this one has been set aside.

Hard to get a total guess from the pics. Perhaps you could float around ebay and check the prices on cars that are similar. This place is not about rat rods, but it seems you know that by now.

Those E&J Headlights alone go for stupid money...I once saw a descent set go for over 2000$!!! With the pics provided, I would say that if it runs and drives and is as solid as it looks, upwards of 10 000$ would be a fair offer.

I just looked at the pictures more closely. I think the car has a lot going for it, from what I could see.....original steel body, valuable (and cool) headlights, good tires, top, nothing that seems objectionable, pretty good overall look. I've seen plastic-bodied T buckets in the $9-12,000 range that weren't nearly as cool. Add up what would it cost you for the parts to build one like it.
