Event Coverage ++ Friday nite pics from Frank Maratta's Auto & Cycle Show ++

Made a stop tonight at the FRANK MARATTA'S AUTO & CYCLE SHOW located in beautiful Hartford, CT.. Ran into a few HAMBers (Doug & Derrick ) with there there rides. Not a bad show for winter weeknd

Looks like a great show and I would sure love to see more pictures of that Willys coupe.

Great shots as always!! But where's the rest?

 

I went last night with the GF. I was disappointed in the show overall. Too many modifieds from the local race tracks etc and tacky newer cars for my taste. I liked the black '56 Nomad wagon and was excited until I saw the belly****on LS3 swap.

But to each his own I guess.

 

I didn't go. With all that shine.... it hurts my eyes LOL. I like doug's car and I seen it at the Fallout show. I wonder if the would let my pile of rust in there if I wheeled it in on a dolley? Still LOL

Great pics Al!!! some cool cars, Derrick and Doug's were stand outs!!! the black 5 window, the willys, and a couple others caught my eye. other than that, lots and lots of over done ****! im sure its overdone **** that others like, just not my thing. its all about the money! oh, i almost forgot. WHAT WAS UP WITH THE CAR THAT HAD PICS OF ARNOLD SCHWARZENAGGER, PUMPIN IRON ALL OVER IT???? i felt a little gay just lookin at it!

 

On set up night someone told me the guy that owns the car was in the movie. Appearently 30 years later he still can't let go of the moment!

I live about 5 miles away but never really took the show seriously because of the billboards that get posted- every year it's tacky street rod after tacky street rod. Maybe I'll check it out next year.

The Pumping Iron car belongs to Mike Katz he was in the movie with Arnold and owns some gyms here in Ct. He was in CSRA when i was .He's areally great guy and still friends with Arnold.

 

The guy can love Arnold all he wants. maybe carry a few pics in his wallet. but all over the side of the car was a bit much! unless Arnold has pics of that guy all over his car,then i understand!
