My dad and I picked up a Manzel (made in Buffalo NY) flathead engine stand. Similar to KR Wilson, but cast from Aluminum or Magnesium (something light). It is missing the lever latch that locks it when you rotate the engine. Does anyone have one of these stands? Or a catalog? I'd like to see a picture of the part I need to make. Any other history on Manzel would be appreciated as well. Thanks, Neal
The 1954 manzel tool catalog shows a picture of your engine stand. I don't have a scanner working to send you a picture. My 1958 and 1960 manzel catalogs show a different style engine stand made out of tubing, so yours must be an earlier one. Good find. Old tools are as much fun as old cars. Hal
Neal I have a complete Manzel Buffalo stand like the one you pictured. If you haven't had any luck with the locking lever, contact me. John Mahoney (913)362-4059 cst
I do still need a locking lever if anyone is holding one, or at least some good pictures so I can duplicate.
I'm still looking for the flathead 6005 G bracket for my Manzel engine stand. Pete, is yours for sale?? Lee
