    They are pretty rare from what I have seen. This is the only set I've seen. I'm sure there are plenty out there, but I've never even seen a set on e-pay. The front cover/engine mount is a pretty rare part too.

    Yeah they are rare. Im trying to find a set for a roadster project. I want to build a car like this survivor car that my dad and I had but had to sell. It had the Weiand valve covers, drag star intake, and the spark plug wire covers. I have the intake and wire covers but just need the valve covers. If you ever happen across another set let me know.

    Sandblasted and painted the front wheels. I mounted up the Hurst super Cushions as well. Looking better already!

    I didn't really like the look of the car with the nose so high in the air so I flipped the axle. I'm way stoked with how it sits now. This is how it will sit when completed.

    I'm going to work on the firewall and setting up the steering tomorrow. Until then...........

    i usually don't like falcons too much.. but this one just seems different...bad ass!

    Chuckles not to be a party pooper. Did you put enough weight on the front of the car to take place of the engine ans sheet metal so you get the proper spring compresion. If you didnt the shackle push past center and rest on the mount.

    Look what showed up on my doorstep today courtesy of my friend Greg.

    Nice Littlefield blower that is completely rebuilt. It was his dad's and it has quite a pedigree. It's been on the strip and on the salt as well. I'll post the whole story later.

    This is getting wild.

    I was always open minded about a what people ran for engines in there cars as far as a Chevy in a Ford body or how every it went and felt its not mine and alot of time its a run you have deal, I run a ford engine in my Falcon but thats just my choice but when I started following what you were doing I thought that was one of the coolest combinations I had ever seen. Great looking project and hats off to you for your choice.

    But the blower will move you up at least two classes
    ...from B, or C/Gas, all to way up to A/Gas- Supercharged!!!!! :D:D:D <Hehehe>Just kidding! Having the blower and a pair of carbs peaking through the hood will more realistic for a mid-60's style gasser than the 6-2-bbl set-up in my opinion....not to mention probably a lot more drivable .....and a whole bunch more powerful too!!!! What do you plan to use for a blower manifold? Do you have one for a nailhead? If not, you might be able to fabricate one by making up a 5/8 or 3/4 inch or so thick aluminum plate the would bolt to the original carb mounting flanges on the 6-2bbl intake. via countersunk bolts - and then, bolt the blower to the plate. By the way, this car is getting cooler by the minute. When you first posted about it, I thought it was just plain weird.....but I'm really starting to like what you're doing now! Good luck with it and please keep the the updates and pics coming! Definitely great stuff here!

    Now you just need to find one of these:D or make your own using a offy dual quad intake milled flat with a 1/2 plate welded on that's what hampton blowers dose

    Thanks again Jon, I try and post everything I can build wise on the HAMB....I have gleaned so many good ideas and how-to's off other threads. I feel like its good to pay that forward.

    With the weight/displacement it was already a/g..... now its a/gs!


    I'm using an eelco 6x2 log intake, and I'm making a 2 1/4" tall common plenum for the top out of 1/2" plate aluminum. Nice and clean.

    When I first acquired my falcon, I was tossing around the idea of a buick powerplant. My father has kind of been a buick guy since I was a kid (owned a OT 69 gransport since i was a baby and recently traded for a GN, but straying way OT here "looks over shoulder for the Hamb-Holstiens") Theres a really nicely built up 68' 350ci. sbb that's been sitting around here for years that was almost destined for it, but I was 16, and really was looking for the cool cruizer rather than a rip snorting hot rod (besides the fact that i probably would of been rather stupid behind the wheel of that torquey bastard).

    I once worked on this 64' 300ci sbb in an Evinrude runabout from the same vintage, and it was superbly beautiful. Smoothest running thing ever, torque flung that boat on to plane quicker than quick, and at WOT you really could still carry on normal conversation. Quick, Smooth, Quiet and powerful as hell. Suffice to say, I love me some buicks.

    But, of course, one never came along, and I ended up with a small block ford that happened in to my life, but for the cool cruiser that mine really is, the little 260ci. is just a sweet little thing of an engine, and is perfect for my application. And I can still scare the snot out of them damn fox bodied mustang guys. Before I rebuilt it, it ripped and snorted, and missed on #6 at an idle, and with those side pipes, they were asking me if there was a 427 in there!!! :D :D

    Anyhow, The point is, What you have here is freaking awesome. The nailhead, the blower, the nose stickin in the air, the OBNOXIOUS f***ing squeal as that power hits the ground...All those guys pissin' and moanin' cuz its not a "ford in a ford" or it's wierd to have that nailhead in there will still be sitting at the stoplight, speachless, scratchin' their heads while your just two dim red specks way off on the farthest horizon.

    CHUCKLES...as you well know, the early buick engines were called NAILHEADS because of their very small valves. which actualy looked like nail's (sort of ) but my friend you have a real BIGTIME mill. that falcon will stand up and BARK!...POP.
