Good shots ... looks like this was the 1965 CARS meet at Cecil? The Far Rockaway Ford T-Bolt in the back behind the Yankee Peddler. I'm pretty sure that the Black Arrow with it's rough cut rear axle fender openings, injectors ans Bill Jenkins driving was at this meet as well as many others ... Faubel, Landy, the Ramchargers ... Any more snapshots? Joel
I gotta go over and pick up the copy Steve sent me tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to checking it out. Glad to hear its finally out!!! He also just finished another match bash video, with among other things, cruising the streets on the East Coast, in the altereds!!! Dale
x2 on the book. spent friday nite reading mine. it is a great book starts out with alittle history then shows some great photos and on to the builds with lots of great info. got mine from tower.com for $22.00 including shipping, great deal awesome book. if you havent gotten one yet check into it. george
Just got done thumbing through it. There are sooo many little things we did, and he photographed it all. I'd say if you any thought of building one now, with this book, you should not have any problems whatsover. Its pretty thorough. Love the picture on the back cover, a freeway onramp race here in SoCal!!! Its about the only place here you can legally bury the pedal, and not be accused of exibiting speed!!! Dale Snoke
Jody these shots show a '67 body that Gates got in mid-67, he used the same chassis. Wayne Gapp got the car in 1969 and changed to '69 Mustang body. Daryl H., who just sold the Gate Job, has the Mustang body. The '67 Comet body is MIA. I'm assuming this is the Gapp FC with the Gate Job chassis.... http://www.gapponline.net/?p=516
Here is a pic of the Honker during its restoration. My uncle restored the car. Hey Joel! Hows it going? Tom

Pete did get his 66 Cometbody in late 66, and started the 1967 season with it. I have the negatives that show Pete working on it, in his garage. From a" body in white", to the finished car. He was in California in January with the car. Toward the end of July, Pete got an actual 67 Cyclone body, and put that body on the same chassis. This was painted all red like Dyno`s, but with 2 white stripes down the top and hood. He also repainted the chassis red. Also went to the blower with the 67. daryl
