Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by TexasHardcore, Mar 3, 2005.

  1. Eelco covers, ignore the bottom cover (BBC). SBF is the top one.....

  2. How about Offy's?

anybody else out there ever seen pony embossed covers. they look like most of theother, but instead of cobra or powered by ford they had an embossed running mustang. I bought a set at a swap meet in the late 80 and gave them to a friend for his 67 mustang for his birthday--a few month later after a family fallout his dad sold the car from the driveway and I've not seen another set since. just curious if anyone else has?

What is the height on those? Are they still being made or are they old Offy's?

  13. i like those old offys

  14. I had a pair of 8mm steel spacers lasercut so I could run the "COBRA" covers on a SBF with roller rockers. Just requires a second pair of gaskets, but other than that no clearance problems. If anyone needs the file, I can send them the .dxf. Just PM me.

They are about the same as stock. I could not find any listing but Summit had them on display a short time ago. You could also try the Aluminum-man at the local meets / ebay, he's an Offy dealer and had them both new and used.

Ever see the covers on Poteeet's '32 5w hi-boy? Dave Lane of Fastlane Rod Shop cut the Thunderbird name out of a set old FE thunderbird covers and welded them into a set of SBF stamped covers. You have to look twice, they look stock, and subtle cool.

found the tall ones at summitracing.com shown above, but not what I am after. They offer the finned Offenhauser 4603 for $278 or the Roush ultra 401392 for $1,500 (Ha!)
Will keep looking, but still like the Edelbrock 4603 Signature Series for $50.
