  3. WOW! this ain't a still picture but a travelogue about Michigan back in the day. Looks to be late 40s. Check out the "Dunes Mobiles", and the new MOPARs on a freighter going thru the Soo Locks. AWESOME video!

    Pittsburg California, that is. Looking east on old Highway 4. Antioch would be straight ahead and Kirker Pass Road to Clayton and Concord would be off to the right, as indicated by the road sign at right.

    Odd as it seems, it was carpet. He used to have some pretty big sales so those pictures weren't all that unusual in that time period. I can remember as a kid unlocking the front doors when the store opened and the mad rush of customers pushing their way in. But I agree, pretty crazy for a carpet store.
