Hello All I thought I would introduce myself to the current membership. I am from San Jose California and recently acquired a 1930 Model A Coupe Hot Rod project. I stumbled on to the board and found some very helpful information in the Tech pages here, as well as some very nice people who share my love of old cars and family. I have owned the 65 Barracuda since the early 70s and have installed a 360 Motor, 10.5 clutch, 8 ¾ rear, front disk brakes and converted the stock AM radio to AM/FM. I purchased the Model A just before Christmas and have welded up all the holes in the firewall and floorboards and install smoked gl*** windows. Pleased to meet you Paul
I've seen the Barracuda before around town, nice ride...and the A...Thats the former Chico Von S**** one right? Welcome...from Campbell!
Thats the former Chico Von S**** one right? Yes, it appears to be the same Model A less the green Plexiglas, holes (firewall is now matte black) & severe exhaust obstruction and leaks. There all corrected now... But, who is Chico Von S****?
Welcome to the HAMB Paul... I have a brother in San Jose, and a car that lives at his place for the month or so a year I can get over there to drive it... Well, it was supposed to come over here after we visited last year, but we had such a good time we decided to do it all again this year
Thanks for the welcome boldventure, draginsteel (great looking 49 Ford – my first car was a 50 Ford), PRIMERDAVE (I also have a 64 GMC) and FLT (maybe see you around town on your next visit) Thank you for the link A32Flathead I was hoping to get some Info about the Coupe from the previous owners. I will watch out for the Pontiac when I'm cursing in either the Coupe or the Barracuda, holler out if you notice me.
Been test fitting the mock up engine and don't see any problems so far. (only thing may be the fenderwell headers, but thats something to sort out later) Good luck with your ride and welcome once again to the crazy Hamb world!

I will try to come by your shop next weekend and introduce myself. Hi Rock that Shoe Box Rocks my first car was a 50 Ford I bought for 100 bucks. Thank you MitchellDeMoor - the Coupe is a great project to finish off and a blast to drive. The diner picture was a gift from my wife when the garage was built but unfortunately, is not fitted with LED lights. My favorite decoration is the Eagle, Anchor & Globe flag. Thanks for the info Cadillac nut - I contacted Chico through his web site last week to get the original builders name. I needed it to get the wiring info from ENOS for the electrical circuit board mounted on the firewall. Scott did a lot of really nice work on the Coupe and the workmanship shows.
Welcome Paul, from Santa Clara! Great looking Valiant... I mean 'Cuda! Lots of great guys and gals here, and a number of them are here in the south bay. -Stefan
Thank you Stefan, handsome 49. Your right this is a very friendly place and a wealth of information.
