Just want to say: Hi to all! I´m Michael from germany. I like the smell of gas and the dirt on my hands ;)

But lets talk about cars. I like the FL Cars of the 50th and hope to talk to lots of you in the future. My current cars are a 1956 Dodge Coronet with some performance mods and a rusty 1957 Chevy Stepside PU.

Hi Michael, welcome to the Hamb .

That Dodge looks pretty neat, and trucks are far more usable when they are a bit rough round the edges, you don't have to worry about scratching them when loading up.....lol.

I also have a Dodge , mines a 59 Custom Royal and is also a little warmed over, it runs a ford 429 big block. I also drive a truck as a daily, its a 51 Ford F3 1 tonner.

Maybe we will meet up at some time, we seem to be doing more and more europeon shows/runs . We went to Finsterwalde in 2008 to the Hot heads east weekender. What a time we had.........AWESOME !!!!.

Where about in Germany are you ?
    Paul..

    Damn! 429 BB - that rocks :D
Finsterwalde is one of the best events in germany but I live in North/West germany marginal to the netherlands and it´s a long way to go there. Do you know the KustomKulture Event in June near Bottrop?
    http://bottropkustomkulture.com/

Yes - I know Offenbach (near Frankfurt). 250mls from my home.

Niedersachsen is very big. Where do you lived there? I stay in the West of it.

To all the rest: I´m surprised how many european motorheads are here on HAMB  Maybe we will meet us on some events! And thanks for the cozy welcome!

Were are planning on doing the Bottrop run at some point, our friends went last year .
We did the Finsterwalde weekender as part of my 40th birthday celebrations. We had 7 off us and 5 cars (My 27 roadster, my mates 32 roadster , a 33 ford truck, a 29 A coupe and my wifes 56 Chevy 4 door)and covered 2000 miles. We went to Nurburgring and then onto Finsterwlade. Me and my mate also carried on into Poland as it seemed rude not too as we were so close.
Last year we did the SINS show in Antwerp, and are definately planning to go back there again, hopefully in my Dodge if I get it sorted in time.
Its my mates 40th this year and we are planning another trip too celebrate that (any excuse .......lol). We were thinking of doing the Bedrock weekender, but it clashes with the Rockabilly Rave over here.
So we are still looking into where we are going.
The rod runs/shows are superbly organised in europe and combined with the drive there make for a great event. If money allows I think we are going to try and make a regular thing off this :)

    Paul.

Moin Holzi! So klein ist die... Wir trinken in Bottrop mal ein Bier zusammen.

Semi-Hemi. Its a tiny 270 Polyhead. I´ve been looking for a 331 hemi for a couple of month and now i found one. Maybe I swap it over after I got the money for that little bastard... And then there is no need for lowering the front. The weight of the engine will do this job for me :D

Hey nice german ;) Yes we have snow in germany... more then we need
The wintertime here is really boring. To cold to work effective and to wet to have fun on the roads. And after the snow comes the rain - I think we live in the worng area?X?
