SIXGUN;every 65 B/FX I have ever seen has the Webers.I always thought they came with 2-4s.There was an original, unrestored 65 B/FX at last years Fairlane show in Dearborn,Mich.,nice car,you could tell it had been driven hard, but it was a great car! All of the 65s I've seen were red on red.ROY.

Thanks for the come back. I am looking at 7" or 8" wheels on the back, Americans probably but I kind of like the radirs also.

Might go for something like this:

I got my new Radir slicks mounted today, muchas gracias to Jimmy at Rally America for the great service in getting the wheels done so quickly.

We happen to own the Ed Rachanski 64 A/FX Comet from Chicago Area
Lincoln Mercury Dealers. It was called "THE MARAUDERS" It was restored back to original as delivered white several years ago and we would like to get the "Warpaint" back on the car and the Candy Apple Red Paint. Unfortunately, Ed gave all the pictures to Gary Dyers who drove the car later in 64 before he went to drive for Mr. Norm. (Dyers Blowers). We would be happy to pay for any pictures or copies that someone might have of the Comet. A couple of pictures have been posted. Thanks GARY

And the paint matches... I have seen this view in person back in those days. It was fun to watch it go down the track from behind. It was like Bonner's that was some times called the leaping frog or something like that in that it looked like it jumped all four tires off the ground when the gears were changed.

I had this Cyclone a few years ago, but sadly sold it. I drove it for a few years, a true survivor with only 32k original miles on her. The guy that bought it was going to build it into a B/FX car, a clone of his father's race car from back in the 60's. He is in California, anyone recognize it?

Was the car originally from Colorado, and then sold in Ohio?

No, mine had a black interior. Thanks for trying though. It was ordered and sold new to a woman in Brunswick, Ohio. It was hers until it was sold in 2002ish to a guy on the west side of Cleveland. I bought it from him with 32,000 miles, needing floors. Installed new ones, lots of freshening up, otherwise a nice car. When I needed to build my barn, I sold it for the $. Sure miss it. I just wondered what became of it, since it was to be turned into a race car.

Ken, that looks and sounds great! I am happy.

Just wait until you hammer the throttle in that little Comet, and start to hammer the gears!!!

    Nice Job!

Stopped by the engine builder to look at the AR aluminum heads and oogle at the new pistons. 13.2-1 static compresion ought to about right for the street, eh???
If I'm at Knott's, it'll still be in project mode, although it should make quite a statement. You need a ladder to peek inside.

teddisnoke, I seem to remember that you were using Mopar SS rear springs, are they the same dimensions as the Comet springs? Front eye to tie bolt hole and end to end? Are Comet springs the same dimensions as Falcon springs?

Does anyone know of a source for the dimensions of various springs, end to end, width and front eye to tie bolt?

HAHA...............it saves me from having to wash it too often. I'm kind of sick of the old "What color are you going to paint it" question thiough.

Thanks, I'm really happy with the new wheel & tire combination.

Yeah, the car is pretty straight and only one tiny spot of rust.........about the size of a quarter on the lower, driver side fender between the wheel and door. I looked all over the place for one, I specifically wanted a '65 and it had to be a hardtop. I had a bunch of HAMBers looking at cars for me in Oregon, Washington and Arizona. I ended up buying it from Porkshop................he lives about six miles from me.

Have you seen that video Weekend Warriors? There is a whole bunch of 64 footage. There is a clip of the 64 marauders comet racing the ramchargers.Looks a lot like the 65 car looks good.

In this video there is also a Black 64 comet with a red top and red accent on the side running in A/FX. Anyone know who this is.Other than this clip I've never seen a pic of it
