My better half loves to cruise topless, she doesn't even worry about her hair.

My T-bucket was the only open car I've ever owned. Sold it in '96 'cause I got tired of getting wet every time we went somewhere in it. Started regretting it a few days later. Once the Essex is rebuilt I have a T touring project to build...can't wait!

I have only owned 2 converts..loved em both.

but living up here in Michigan we rarely have nice enough weather long enough to really really enjoy them

oh and Shainerman..thats Denise next to the vette..she also has Big Olds..and its also TopLess.

she really gets the topless use out of her convert..hard core

You're so full of shit :p....you and I live in the same state. We have AWESOME convertible weather from the begining of May all the way thru Oct. It wouldn't matter if you have a convertible or hardtop, cruzn season is cruzn season. We easily have 6 full months of perfect weather and a couple more months of hard core cruzn on each end of it.

Ive seen many pictures of you bundled up crusing in BO. or getting rained on in a flash with little warning.

    "6 months of perfect weather"..bahahahhahahahahahaahhh
maybe our standards for "perfect weather" are different. I can live with that

I bought a '65 mustang convert. when I was first dating my wife back in '99. Actually we kind of bought it together as I won it on ebay with her watching and support. It was made the same day I was born, dark blue with a white top, blue interior. Pretty nice car and got it at a decent price too. We flew out to Indianapolis, met the seller at a breakfast place, chatted, ate and exchange necessities and after a 5 min. inspection we just jumped in it and drove it back to CA. It was a fun trip back and one of our fond memories together.

However, even though she loved the concept of the car, she was never too into riding around with the top down. I don't think she liked the wind, noise, hair blowing all over the place and less safe to a degree. I sold it after a year or 2, sort of regret it, but I am not one to regret too much to begin with. I liked riding around with the top down, but since my wife wasn't as big into it, it wasn't quite as fun. I love my wife though, we're now married with 2 kids and have a great family. The convert is past history, but I am fine with that. I will get another if I ever want, but probably will be hard to find another made on my birthday though. Sometimes I do wonder where that car is now.

On a side not though, I do wish a lot more women would drive around topless. I think it would help make the world a nicer place. So, even though my wife is apparently a 1 out of 10 on this matter, I highly encourage others to follow their passions.

OK, who knows the babe in the jacket from the Dragettes of the KCTA which I think means the Kansas City Timing Association?

Oh gawd, she'd be about 85 by now I guess, and those girls...my age...dammit!

As Joseph Heller once wrote "I always wanted to make it with a woman who was 50 but I didn't want to be 50 when I did it", or something to that effect, in "Something Happened".

One of the things I discovered about my new girlfriend in 1969 was she loved open cars, open windows, and the wind blowing through her long blonde hair. We've been happily married 37 years now and it has been a wonderful ride. IMO, the way a woman reacts to an open car is a test of her capacity for adventure.

I waited a long time for an open car. I'm never going back. My wife loves riding in it and the wind in her hair. People stare and it took me a while to remember why, now I just smile and wave. It's primal you don't know exactly why, but who cares it's a blast.

Hey Tim, noticed your location. Maybe it's the Santa Cruz girls?

Met my wife in Santa Cruz in 1969 and we did most of our dating at the Boardwalk and cruising Beach Street. Was a small town then. We got married in Felton in 1972. Loved street racing three wide up the hill on the back street that parallels Beach Street (now they have narrowed it to one lane to prevent such contests, too bad). Also had the midnight drag race of my life at Bonny Doon in the Santa Cruz hills on a private airstrip where my Ford creamed one of the local Mopars everyone said was fast. Airstrip was lit only by headlights of attending witnesses. Ah the memories, heady stuff for a farm boy from south of Fresno.

Nothing better than a roadster on a hot summer night. In this picture it was raining a little while I waited for the gang to hit the road. The wind isn't that bad. Wind and rain goes over your head. Every topless driver knows, the harder it rains, the faster you go.

A roadster ride is like no other. Instead of a nice drive, it's literally an experience. I've driven alot of miles in alot of different cars & nothing comes close to a drive in a roadster. Cruising down a freeway at 70mph w/ a beautiful sunset surrounding you- it's a life changing experience. It like you can reach out & touch it.
Only a roadster owner would understand.

Just steer clear of big 18 wheelers in the rain. Ask me how I learned that!

Not to take anything away from people who enjoy open cars, but my experiences have brought me to this conclusion. Whether your car is open, or has a roof, you are still in a car. While I love cars, the fact remains that the sensation of true "open" freedom in it's purest form, can only be found on 2 wheels. Only problem is, since the woman is sitting behind you, everyone can see how good she looks with the wind in her hair except you.
