    Reid,
Hey Buddy...how's the cruizin in sunny SoCal? Up to our ass in snow here in St. Lou, I sure would love to run the 58 down Van Nuys once.
Keep up the good work! You've inspired us to try and get some cruisers off their ass and back on the street here too. Me and Greezer are thinking about trying to get something rolling this summer. Maybe get some rods to run So. Lindbergh like old times.

Will be there with the lady around 730, coming from Ventura. No rain today. Just bring a jacket.

According to Google Maps, it's 5043 Van Nuys Blvd., a couple of blocks south of Magnolia...

Weeelllll: How was the Van Nuys cruise this month???

You cruisers KNOW that the rest of the world lives vicariously through you. So cough up some details - good or bad.

  16. well, it beat sitting around and watching the car rust. Not a big turn out due to the cold.

Well, I can see by the amount of activity here you guys must be totally exhausted after the Wednesday night cruise. I had to sleep for 2 days just to catch-up, well, that is after I thawed out.

Can't get much cooler than that, unless you're trying to burn out on black ice.

  18. R.I.P. it was fun while it lasted:eek:.

I think it will come back when it gets warmer, maybe better without a lot
    to collect in.

Maybe if we could get photos of all the places to eat and post them, it will help identify more easily were to chow down. Anyway, just an idea.

i was at work til 9 and i was driving my 89 camaro so i couldn't take out the chally ...

if the Cruise does "die" do we really need it to be controlled by the VNCA. I mean they are doing an awesome job but if they decide to quit doing it can't we all still meet up like by The Plant in Panorama grab some chow and cruise from there to van nuys & burbank a few times ?

that would probably be the ideal location lots of lights and parking spots

i also saw people still parking at the lot ...

    4406,
Not as cold as Oklahoma. Light jacket was all I wore.

    Groucho,
I hear you about the 2 cars..... Did you bring the blue truck? Didn't see my favorite silver Vega. We were in the 67 Ford wagon with the wood on the side. We hit "the lot", Ralphs, and cruised thru the Lamplighter. Met up with my sister and my brother in law for dinner. It was a good night.

  25. I drove my black 38 Chevy

VNCA doesn't CONTROL anything. They organized it, and made it a reality from a what-if. Stupid choice of words:rolleyes:

Weather gets better, Cruise gets better..George Washington had the same problem, Summer Solders fought good till it got cold, then they went home till weather got better.

It's great there's interest, but BITD when it rained like crazy or was 46 degrees out, did people still cruise VNB?

    I doubt it.

If there's an organized effort, I'd say save it for the spring / summer / fall months.

  28. I was really looking forward to seeing this for the first time since I'm in town from Seattle but it was disappointing to have the Law preventing access to the lot. A number of cars did end up at the Lamplighter and it was nice talking with some folks there.
