I don't understand any of that photography mumbo-jumbo, but those are some beautiful shots. Are you already driving the tub? It looks great!
Thanks, both. Yes, the tub is new to me and isn't yet fleshed out. By summers end I'm hoping it will be civilized a bit with lamps and seats and even a gl*** wind screen. It's a runner though. Runs really well.
so now we need old cameras for old cars............ Just when i thought i was catching up with everyone else. Neat pictures for sure!
Ah ...... traditional photos with "traditional" equipment of traditional car ...... what a traditionally novel idea ..... I like & enjoyed it. Thanks. PACO
Old cameras have a way of imparting a certain nostalgia that I find really appealing. Don't make me spend money on another hobby!!!!!
The car almost looks like a really detailed little toy in some of the shots. I really dig them. And the car.
Me niether! My sentiments exactly. That is a good thing, because, I already have two expensive hobbies: hot rods and Gretsch guitars. Neither of which I can really afford. Nice pictures and a nice A-bone, though.
Awsume pictures ! It's hard to believe that old camera took those great pictures ! Where do you get the film for that old camera ? Do you make your own to fit that cameras ? I am sure you can tell I know nothing about cameras . It's really amazing that it still works that well ! I always did like a black and white picture in certain things . I am not sure why but there is just something special about a good black & white ! Color pics don't always look good to me . Just my opinion ! RetroJim
Thanks to all. Actually, the quality that these cameras can achieve has never been surp***ed, but no one wants to deal with 80 square inches of film. You can still buy film. It's about $5 bucks a sheet. But what I did was stockpile quite a lot of Aerial Recon rollfilm in my freezer and I cut each sheet individually from a roll. I've got a machine that can develop 5 of these at a time. Brute force camera.
Great photo's Jim, didn't have to wait as long as I thought I would to see photo's of your phaeton in the Navada landscape. Hope you wore goggles to keep the bugs out of your eyes. Keep em coming, first thing I did was go to your website to see if there were anymore! HA! Thanks for sharing your talent and your new project.
Now that's really neat. Your first pic...wait...I can't even call it that. Your first photograph is now my desktop background. Thank you. Now you need a second antique camera to take an antique photograph of you in some antique cloathes taking an antique photograph of your antique car with your other antique camera...
Well, the second (and third and fourth etc etc.) antique camera is no problem, but I'm not very photogenic.
Jim, I think the photos using the vintage camera to take photos of the vintage "A" is just the greatest ! I imagine to do your own developing also ? Nice rod and camera. Quite the pair.
