Give me the scoop on these wheels...

Ok, I've become a wheel geek in the past few years, and I have a couple of questions. My dad's had a pair of slots sitting around the shop for years, but I recently got the urge to see who manufactured them. On the back side, the castings include Ontario, Cal., 15x8.5, and Wheel Dist. Inc. but I've never heard of this company. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. Also, a guy I know has a set of Keystone Tri-Lug wheels--I've never seen a set before, and I don't know if they're of any value. Not sure when they were made, but they look pretty cool. He also has a set of Shelby U.S.A. wheels, which are generic slots with machined "spokes". Here are some pictures of the wheels...

Seems like in the 70's everyone sold slots of some kind. I remember Sears and Wards both had thier "house" brands. Western auto did also. Might be a generic wheel from one of those?

 

2 or 4 of these? i bet they're 14"s...

 

Yeah, I assumed it was an off brand since so many companies sold slots, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to post them on here and find out for sure. Thanks for the input.

 

I don't remember if he has 2 or 4, and I honestly don't remember if they're 14's or 15's. I thought it was a 15x7 but I could be wrong. All I know is the inside of one of the spokes has the Keystone "K" and Tri-Lug beneath it.

 

Looks like it needs a center cap that finishes out the regular keystone looking spokes

 

These are E-T Rebels. I've got a pair of 14"x6" wheels and would love to use them but the uni-lug area is quite chewed. If they're 14" and you're interested in selling them, please shoot me over a PM.

I like the looks as is (but those slots for the lugs gotta go).

 

lowbudget is right. A nice center cap would finish 'em off. I'm sure you can find some. They have ears with holes to match the lug-holes.
speedtool...the slots don't "need to go"...they're unilug wheels and utilize an oval-shaped washer to fit into those slots. You can get the washers with different hole locations to end up with the correct circle pattern for your car. There have been some threads about guys asking where to get the washers. Do a search, HenryJGuy, if you want tips on where to find them. I believe they're still available new. Some of the young guys at the Blottozone won't know what the heck you're talking about though, when you say "unilug". LOL!

 

I've got a full set of the 5 spoke ones in 15", mine are Keystones & I believe they were calling them Rebels also

 

I know what they're for - I just think they suck.
