WOW, what an exciting and nail biting past month it's been. A lot of you guys know Hamber ContinentalJohn. He had this ol 33 Phaeton for sale off and on for quite a while. The damn car haunted my dreams. I wanted it so bad, it looked decent. Well, after talking to John and he came up with a price minus frame and such, I realized that I could probably afford it if I sold something. So I sold my beat up 33 coupe and mailed John a check. I knew a guy named Rich here in Spokane making a trip to Missouri and offered to pick up my car on his way back. Rich also ended up going to NY (yes, right in the middle of that snow storm) to pick up a 32 body for my good friend Len. Anyways, Rich was gone about 2 1/2 weeks and belive me, all I pretty much thought about was getting that ol tub home. Between flat tires and a lost injector pump, Rich finally got back today. I shot over right after work and picked her up.

Continental John had put all the parts inside and wrapped this sucker with 2,000 feet of ceran wrap! I also ended up buying a frame from him that he graciously welded some alxes to so that it would roll and not be flopping all over the place and falling apart.
JOHN, I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR GOING OUT OF YOUR WAY IN HELPING ME GET THIS CAR HERE IN ONE PIECE!
John is probably tired of hearing from me by now :D

So anyways, got her home, cut the miles of plastic off and started unloading the goods. I had my 33 frame all ready to go so we transfered the body over. It has a 4" dropped axle, reversed eyes front and rear and longer shackles out back. Sits pretty low.

The body is about what I had pictured, it was getting restored in the 70's, so theres some pop rivets and mud in here, but nothing major and should all be an easy fix. At least all the hard to find Phaeton stuff is there ;) So heres the pics, hope you all enjoy!

Again John, thanks for everything, your a super stand up guy!

Nice garage mate for the Coupe! Is this the body that the former owner was thinking about cutting in half to build a Roadster? Look forward to following the build.

Yep, I saw it in that thread and it never would leave my head. I tried getting my Dad to buy it about a year ago.

Pretty darn pumped! I had to give most my 33 stuff with my coupe to get the $$$ I needed to buy this thing. So it's kind of like starting over. The good thing is, even though this car needs work, it does no need nearly as much as that poor coupe did. So see, I just saved myself some time and money ;)

  30. You don't happen to need another left nut, do you? 'cause I'd trade mine for that car. Hell, take em both!!!

That is going to be a great ride - congrats
