In keeping wth the drag theme....here are two oldies drag themed posters. All from the Portland, Or. (Woodburn) nostalgia events every summer....all assembled photo elements shot by me....can you find my truck?

What a outstanding show. That dollar by Thomas is so cool! Get him over here. Nothin for me this week. Working on a neat little pin-up for next Friday.

  13. Great show everyone! I especially like the RF C-note;may have to start saving my pennies for a print.
Most of my work of late has been body shop repair stuff(keeps the wolves away from the door)but here are a couple I did this week:

First is a sign for a good friend of mine who is putting his truck in the Autorama this year.(a pic of the truck is also enclosed. This is a driver)The sign is water-jet cut from 1/8th inch steel plate and painted the truck color.

Next is the auction clock for the charity Panel Jam at Detroit;made from an old red oak kitchen cabinet door and lettered with one of my wooden striping brushes for an hour hand.

If you make it to the Autorama, stop by the pinstriper's booth and say hello. And make sure you bid high and often at the auctions.

Thanks Notstock,Kscooter, and Todd J, I would have to agree with Todd's comments. Everything looks killer this week. I'm glad I randomly decided to do something drag related or I would've felt left out, ha. Keep up the great work everyone, I love those helmets, gotta get goin on mine.

  22. Wow, that was cool!!!

  23. So a guy gets a thread started this week about a Travelall he just bought.
Nice looking truck in the pic - but needs to be chopped.
I couldn't resist a fast sketch of it... Sorry for the poor quality...
I'm striping stuff like crazy for the show and am real busy right now, but it is atleast something...
Chopped 5, Shaved handles, frenched Galaxie tail lights, lowered alot, steelies and dog dish caps - what a cool tow pig :D

I was flown out to Cali last week to do this Cadillac, i got pretty far but i still have to go back and finish. All this was done with Industrial Strength Sharpies- thus it is the Sharpie Cadillac. I hope to be doing more of these in the future!

Running a little late today, man what a show so far.
ToddJ nice black and white, it would be cool to see a color version.
    ewt2 nice and smooth
Bomonster I like the scratch board stuff you're doing, it's different.
NotStockPhoto nice photos, my favorite is the wrench in the foreground with the trucks. You have good depth in this one, and I like trucks, very nice. Oh yea, seems to be something else in front of your lens too.
Northrup the truck turned out very nice.
Surf Monkey nice car , you should finish that one.
FortyPickup the green is a good color and I like that digger too.
