I'm curious, what size nozzles do you have in the Hilborn 4 port?

Kerry I have 8 nozzles,# 63A or .067 with an air bleed for Nitro with a #63 spool in the Barrel valve. I am going to use my Enderle 110 pump(13.4 gallon/min) For Alcohol if you are running a 4 butterfly down draft injector you need a #56 spool in the barrel valve. The number is stamped on the end of the spool shaft for the linkage arm. Kerry call Hilborn, tell them your motor combination and they will get you going.

I receive a large envelope from Jim Brissette with Time Slips,1964 Drag News, 1964 National Dragsters, Drag Sport, L.A. Times news clippings, Weiand News letters and unpublished pictures. A GOLD MINE ! In this package has the original Time Slip from the first pass ever made at Pomona at over 200 mph by anyone ! Wild Bill Alexander was driving and a NHRA National Dragster Newspaper with the car on the cover and race coverage.

  9. WOW!!! That is way too cool!!! I've got some old copies of Drag News. If I can find the right issue I'll send it to you for your collection.

Thanks for the info. I've got four 104A air bleed injector nozzles. I talked with Hilborn sometime back and they said that'd work fine for alcohol. I'll check my barrel valve and give 'em another call.

Happy New Year to you all. In the last week we have been getting ready for the 50th Winternational as one of the Historical Dragsters that raced at Pomona. On November 8, 1964, Wild Bill Alexander driving Jim Brissette's Woody ran 7.92 at 200.00 to be the first fueler to break the 200 mph barrier at Pomona. Then at the 1965 Winternational, was runnerup to the Hawaiian for Top Fuel Eliminator. I figured I better present my Jim Brissette Cackle car as it was raced during this period of time. The fueler replica has taken on a completely different look. Now with the Hilborns on, different fuel system, and a new bare aluminum shorty body as it was raced is complete. We fired it today at 5 pm, alittle fat and leaned it 2 flats after getting some heat in engine and had some nice flames. I had to make a support strut and bracket for the Weiand idler arm since it didn't want to stay on position.

Acquirements for era correct parts requires using resources of who is in the knowing and finding rare parts. Of course those rare parts are going to cost you MORE or less. 16 x 10'' Halibrands with Goodyear 11.00-16 Blue Streak Slicks was a Double Score. Patty Foster warned me about the cost. The Goodyears will go on the Big Window Halibrands and when a set of REAL M & H pie crust slicks is found, those will go on the Small Four Holer Halibrands.

Let the "FORCE" be with you ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eGgvzyHn88 I am in the brown hat and Kackle Ken Riley was almost kissed by John Force.Keeping with Brissette tradition, we didn't clean or polish the car. LOL . 4 days, 4 fire ups, 1 Cackle Cruise and I need a bigger fuel tank. 3 gallon tank isn't cutting it. Thank you to Vicky and Steph Shill for taking care of Julie while the Cackle Cruise was going on. The Pipe Dream family took Julie to the stands so she could see her Fueler do it's thing. You think Julie loves Nitro ? I was cruising about 1 foot from the fence to give the fans a BLAST and the "FANS WENT WILD "! Thank you to NHRA, Steve, Cindy, Alan, Dusty & Gwen, Rex, Ilene, Greg, and all involved with the 50th Winternationals. Thank you to my friends Kackle Ken & Nitro Nadine Riley for joining us on this ride of a life time ! Picture by Dave Wallace, Jr. Thank you all, Roger" Riceman " and Julie " Potatowoman " Lee

John Force may put on a show for TV, but the man does have Class. We met him 10 years ago at a car show at the Cow Palace in South San Francisco and remembered Julie. John said " You're the road racing lady, I remember you ! Julie said " John you are #1 in drag racing so don't road race. You only known how to go straight " ! LOL The John said " Hang tough Julie, I should hire you for my PR dept " ! Julie "The Potatowoman", my wife has the Force with her. Pictures by Nitro Nadine Riley

    Hey Roger:

Good showing looks like you had a good time...

You know Force wears his Heart on his sleeve but for what he did for my Son several years ago I will always be a fan. Very classy guy still in touch with the little people. He has drive which doesnt alway put your best face forward. Especially with cameras all over you.
Anyway best to you and Julie. Thanks for the posts.
