This one followed a friend home. It is supposed to be built in 1958 or 59.

The new owner will remove that awful flip-flop paint and the wheels of course.

It may have been black, and dragged at some point.

    Olds with Cad LaSalle trans.

    Any clues?

Can't remember seeing it in any magazines that I can recall. With a paint job, proper wheels and tires and a proper grill that one could be sharp.

I'd pretty well bet that at one time it had cycle fenders on the front tires as most rods built back then in most states had to run some sort of fender.

Rolf. I was in love with a similar coupe back in '70. We went to a used car lot in Moira N.Y to get a replacement for my wrecked '64 Impala hardtop. I know I couldn't swing the coupe but it sure was neat. Deep Channel, mild or no chop. Pontiac mill with 3 deuces and 4 speed. Chrome reverse wheels on all 4. Color was a deep burgundy with black interior. Also had the Deuce grille. Oh, I left with '65 Dart Coupe with six and three speed . . . .

You didn't know what kind of cult car you drove home with :D

Thanks for the info, I will ask the owner to look for a burgundy coat of paint when he repaints it.

We may never know the full story, but I know the owner will do it justice.

Rolf, Hope you get more feedback on this car. I may have not owned or driven the car I saw but it sure fits in my memories.

Love the car, nothing a semi-custom 3W Ford coupe. That grille is a 33-34 Chevrolet.
The dual glove box doors was a feature of the 36 Hudson Terraplane so that's nothing new.
The style reminds me of East Coast/Midwest USA cars.

Same thing, they just belonged to the former owner of the 33.
