I just did my first pinewood derby and I chose to base my car off of the Chrisman Coupe.

Old build of an early 60's version of a "modern stock".
    51 or 52 Chevy.

  8. This is a '61 Corvette that I built to look like my dad's car that I gave to him for Christmas a couple years ago. Wish I had taken better pictures!

    Nice work guys!

Really wish I could fly to Florida, all snow here is getting on my nerves, grrrr - however, it's easier to find some time at the workbench :)

This little Model A Coupe is on the bench right now - all for the T & A Buildoff that is going on over at HAMB Plastic Model Builders - join in if you still haven't!

Found this the other day while I was rooting through the closet looking for an old magazine. Built it about 20 years ago when I was into wood working and didn't have any project car. Made it out of scrap wood pieces and although it wasn't quite as much fun as working on the real thing it was a heck of a lot cheaper.

  12. Mr. Hover's Corvette model inspired me to post these.
Both of these are 25th scale, extremely accurate resin kits From Historic Racing Miniatures. The '62 is stock and the '61 is a mild street machine with a 396.

While not a "late model", I guess it's not entirely HAMB friendly.... but I'll post it anyway. It's a '70 Coronet Super Bee done up 70s street machine/street racer style. It's not quite finished, but I wanted to shoot it outside before our weather hit the skids on Tuesday.

Don't worry, folks..... the next project is going to be a '33 Willys panel gasser, a '29 Model A roadster vintage drag racer or a mild custom '65 El Camino.

A few pics from the NNL show in Santa Clara, Ca. today 2-21-2010.
I didn't get going quickly enough today and got there a little later than I planned. I was going to go back around and take a few more pics but many folks had started packing up already.
I have a few more photos, I'll put the in the albums section later.
