although being honest, I thought I might be a little out of line with that statement and deleted it but I guess I stand quoted:D

down in the weeds ( no air bags that cheating) 3 inch white wall with four bar flippers with sliver blue inside

  6. i agree. i bought this thing at a great price and I am a fan of the bubble top roof. After doing my research i found out this model of the 880 is kind of rare. I believe they only made about 3200 of them. Those are the reasons i bought it along with I guess I can't stand having an empty spot in the driveway and needed to fill it. After some cleaning and staring I guess i will decide...Thanks.

  7. the tan one was for sale wasn't it? I saw it on a website and really liked it. just sits a little to high for me:D thanks

  8. Funny thing is that although I have always been a HUGE Mopar fan, I always hated the styling of the pickups from the start until the 1972 - up body. That was until I found my 49 in a junkyard... That thing just kinda grew on me until I actually started LIKING how it looked.

Put a paint job on it and some cool wheels & tires and I think that you'll be surprised at how much more that you'll like it. A buddy of mine had a refrigerator white one and just added a set of the 15 x 8 cop wheels that he painted to match the body. It looked great and he drove the hell out of it.

I would say it is definitely a rare car. Not too many 2 door 880's left around. I like the body style. It is different to say the least.

  10. I think this is one of those cars that you could strip all the nameplates and emblems off, throw some paint on it, and 9 out of 10 people who see it won't have any idea what the hell it is! Then you can tell them that it's a one-off prototype. Or a "rescued from a barn" full-on '60s custom job built out of a '63 Buick or something. 'Course, you may want to keep the hood closed! ;)

I'd never noticed on one of these Dodges before, but are the front and rear bumpers interchangeable???

    EEEEEKKKKK !!!

The 1 year only Dodge 880

what was Dodge thinking that body style ?

I never thought too much of them but one night , I was putting gas in and in rolls a fella with one..laid out on chrome reverse wheels , it was rubbing its belly on the concrete, white with blue guts and to be honest ..

    It looked pretty good !!!

but, that being said.. my list does not include one but, I can see the possibilities

I think I know where there is a set of NOS taillight assm complete
if you would need them, think they can be bought ..

  12. Sell it! You have more projects then South Central LA

  13. ClayMart - The bumpers look like they might be interchangeable. We will see once I take them off.

Big Dad- Let me know about the lights. I haven't even started to look for parts and the tow truck driver wished me luck in finding parts.

I cleaned up the interior last night and started on some bodywork. I hope to have some panels in primer by tonight. maybe SOCAL1 will come over and help?

Those are cool cars, I don't know what you guys are talking about. Is it a 361, 383, or 413?

I'll bet if you gave that car to Zocchi, or D'Agostino, you guys that think it's ugly would change your minds. I think that car has a lot of potential in the right hands. And the one year only thing just makes it better.

    I think it's really Cool!
Definitely something you don't see very often.
It has a 383,would look great lowered and has good lines.
Lower it,get some shiny paint on it,Astros with thin White Walls and you're done.

    How about some interior shots???

That thing is awesome looking and it´s the only one I´ve ever seen! It´s a bubbletop - whats not to like? If it was a Starliner people would be all over it.

Dude, theres only one way this could be done :D
Late 60s to early 70s lowrider, or as its nicknamed lateley "Bellflower style".
I see it scraping either n cragars or trus, lifted w/ a bitchin paintjob and white tuck n roll interior.
Being a Dodge i bet any suspension "upgrade" is goin to be a bitch, but the final result justifies the amount of work IMO.
If it was mine i'd keep it, but i like odd stuff.

The front end can be lowered through loosening the tortion bars. Put some blocks on the rear and you're golden.

  23. Other than the color, JAmes D you read my mind. These look great as mild customs. Throw a nice dark metallic green, pearl purple, or even a candy red.

  24. That is how mine got so low (other than the hydros on the rear).

No time to mess with the colour right now. I think it´s a great looking car. Nicer than the same year Chevy IMHO.

  26. looks bitchin!! I have some 14" supremes in the garage but I have to check the lug pattern to see if they will fit. Thanks for all the help and inspiration guys
