64CYCLONE;the Comet in you post #835,was at the Fairlane National Meet last year.It has been restored and is very nicely done.I never was able to hook up with the owner, would have liked to hear the story on it. ROY

For me, this has to be one of the most invaluable threads going on!! It will be instrumental in the final leg of my altered wheelbase Comet build-up. Alot of these photographs cover the stockers to the altereds. Thanks to all who have put up the pictures!

I had my 65 out for a test-n-tune last night to setup the new clutch-trans combo.First hit stood the car straight up,scarred the crap out of me,lifted and set it down hard, got one header tube and my heart rate!!! Next two passes after some clutch tuning went real well. The fourth pass it broke the ring and pinion in second gear,so now the thrash to get ready for the March Meet! ROY

Roy- Mike forwarded me the pics from Thursday night, on his Fotki. Your wheelie seemed to have taken everyone by surpriise as well. Sorry to hear of the damage ! Good luck with the work to get it dialed in time for next week!!

Dale;too bad Mike quit snapping pictures on that 1st pass!!He said he was not ready for my car to keep heading for the moon!! I'm having the pumpkin rebuilt by a pro this time. The clutch guy said the clutch is close,so just run it as is for the MM then we can take it back to Irwindale and finish fine tuning it.That new slipper clutch is unreal, feels like the pedal is not hooked up! How is the 64 coming along? ROY.
