This location is used in "The Road" movie that was just out a few months ago. An excellent movie but a real friggin downer!

Gotta' be. There's the train station (museum now) and the sun angle indicates an afternoon shot, looking northwest. Looks to be about where the 21st Street Bridge intersection is now. The Swiss Tavern/Hotrod-A-Rama location would be just a few blocks to the left!

I remember King Vitamin! Bought a box at the local market while walking home from grade school and ate it dry, straight from the box, c1970. Captain Crunch is the same thing.

That's not really a bumper car, that's one of the original cars from Disneyland's Autopia....No cars on rails, just cars with bumpers and curbs.

One of the coolest rides ever at Disneland for a young gearhead in the 50's and 60's...

  13. Santa Cruz CA. Still looks the same, but the cars aren't as cool. Dean

  14. When we lived in Indiana there was a period when my mom didn't work. She sewed all my clothes. I can remember how excited I was when I got my first shirt with a label in it!!
