Went to the Starbirds show yesterday, I was disappointed in the lack of "traditional rods" but, It was still a good show. I met & talked to Gene Winfield & Norm Grabowski, they are really great, down to earth guys. "Norm is funny as hell," he showed me his new "Fish Truck" It was unusual but, cool. All in all, the show was worth checking despite the lack of "primer." There were a few ol'school rodz there, I saw a neat little H.A.M.B. dragster, it looked right out of the late 40's/early 50's. The "Jokers C.C. were well represented as were a few lowrider clubs. Oh well, just thought i'd share. I'm looking forward to next year, I really wish there were some old school rod shows around Tulsa but, Maybe i'm clueless, if anyone knows of some that I don't, drop me a line and let me know.

If you like traditional rods and lots of customs, be sure to attend the
"Stray Kat 500" at Dewey, OK coming up May 7,8 & 9. More info on
their web site or call (918)534-2190.

Can you believe the 20K winner? It's a bunch of work but U G L Y ! I mean seriously, the stude with matching trailer or even the fish truck would have been my choice, and I like green! I don't know, maybe Cliff was hittin' the fumes off those wild pipes.

Could that thing actually run? That is the goofy looking thing I have seen. Some of the really cool cars entered were apparently in the wrong cl*** and not in the running for the $20K.

Sorry folks but that green thing was an abortion. I'm sure the guy that built it spent time and money on it but it still was a POS. Who would even want that thing. The Stude was a winner.

Yeah that Pie Wagon kinda thing is all wrong! Why build a 60s style show rod on street rod standards?
It doesnt make any sense! All the right ideas but all the wrong work!
Fish truck is soooo Grabowski! Guys as mad as a horse!

That green thing looks like a reincarnation of the Tilted T or something from Mattel
