I started with a stock GTO Western Flyer wagon. I took it apart and then made a frame to run along the length of the body to hold the rear tires and the front axel(wich I flipped upside down). I started with 6 inch lawn mower tires all around but decided to go with big and small combo to get a rake. The front end is extended 15 inches from the body, this allows the it to still be able to turn.

I masked off the tires and spray painted some white walls. I also painted the center black which was originaly white. I used 10's on the back and 8's in the front. I added the wood sides with brackets on the inside wall of the body and I also added wood on the floor.

I found a baby table chair at a flea market,it ended up being a perfect fit(not bad for 2 bucks). I took it apart and painted the frame black and upholstered it with some left over material I had laying around. I put it back together but didn't use the bars that hold it to the table. I used conduit clamps to hold it down to the body but used wing nuts so I'm able to remove it any time. The cool thing is that it also folds down and then locks in place when upright.

Can somebody please help me. I bought this wagon at an aution with the intensions of customizing it. I have looked all over google and I can't for the life of me find another one like it. Could anyone please help me out here. Any info as to what it is, when it is from, and why it is different would be great.

I'm going to have to guess that your wagon is from the late 70's to the early 80's.

Here's one that was bought for my lil brother who was born in 78. The logo is the same but the number is different. The number just indicates the size of the wagon.

Others with the same logo and different numbers.

    And another.

There's a shot of a wagon on the cover of a catalog on this page with a date of 76.

I've got serious doubts about your wagon being rare or extrememly old...so go ahead and modify it and show us what you can do!

Thanks. I was ganna guess it was from around that time period. The number makes them kind of cool in their own right. My friend is working on one that is a Radio Flyer 9. They are the only 2 I have seen around here that weren't the plain Radio Flyer logo on the side. I will post pics when it gets done. I have some cool plans. Just waiting on digging up the parts I need.

These are a few more pics of the wooden floor, the sides and the license plates. I cut the trim off the plates and the outer digits on each side to make the plates fit and not look to big on the wagon.

That's even cooler that you painted that yourself. Why would a bread box need a lock on it?

I ran into a guy at Turlock that had a really cool wagon. It had split bones and a custom tranverse front spring. I talked to him for a bit and he said that there is a guy that sells the parts at the Pomona Swap Meet.

Anyone know how to get a hold of the guy that makes or sells the parts?

Here's a custom I saw at the Swap this weekend. Custom full frame with a Mercury bed. She said it has been together for something like 10 years.
