EVEL: yeah that whoe frontend needs some reworking. It rides really rough right now. New shocks, and alignment and perhaps some springs with the right rate are in the works!

I agree on everything but the 7.10 Firestones w/2.75" WW.Tire too fat for YOUR car (not generally) and whitewall too small.I think the 6.70" Firestone with 3 1/4" WW would be a better fit,maximum rim width 5.5" as seen below...

Those looks awesome but my car came with a 7.10 on it originally. The Dragoo Merc had 7.10's as well. I think proportionately it will be correct because the tires on their now are too small (to me at least).

I think the ones on there are L78 ot G78 or what ever they are called.

The 3 1/4" WW does look good though. I was basing my idea on the thread I did...

Chris, those caps are awesome!!! Paint the center ribs coppery gold and call them done!!! I have never been a fan of Fiesta type spinner covers but those are pretty awesome!! Very Dragoo like!

EDIT: I am going to get that Iron Cross back in the car and maybe you could come over and brush paint it to give it that Rat Rod Touch you're famous for! Scoop is staying!

 

I fully understand what you're saying Jeffrey.However,the "small" whitewall on the Bass Chevy only looks good cause the car is so low.I think and hope your Merc won't be that low.Therefore it's better to "show" more whitewall,getting the proportions right.Tires- the neverending story.Just ask Rusk.Or better don't do it...

I bought those caps because I'm an idiot and thought they were 16's. They are 15's so up on the wall they went

 

Car is definitely not going any lower. It actually might get raised a hair if I cannot get it to ride better. I am trying not to rock the boat.

Thanks for the heads up! That's definitely something I was not considering about Bass' car being so low so the WW does not have to be as big. The 3 1/4" that you showed whether on a 6.70 or a 7.10 might be perfect! The other choice is Good Year Super cushions which the Weez has on his Shoebox. Those tires look amazing! All that is quite a ways away since I am tapped money wise building my '35 right now and the baby's room renovation!!!!

If all that's holding that Antenna on is two nuts you can expect it on Wednesday shop night. Although I'll have weld up the holes which will get a snowball forming haha!! Just worry about free cadillacs right now and the antenna later!!

I don't have any more really. I'll get some the Wednesday though. I can tell you that it has '58 corvette tail lights out back which look really cool.
