    This was one of my favorite altereds. It served as a giant killer because the injected 354 could hook up. Also note that engine is level and not really canted upward. Even then, the Hillborns used were a bit dated, but the car still ran quick and consistent. Its equal was Mike Sullivan's Fiat when it was injected too. It owned the NHRA MPH record for the injected class at 180.

    Great thread. Just finished all of it ( to date ). I have always been a big fan of 1966-67 Fairlanes SS/ and stock. Anyone have any photos to post ?

    also that race against Wild Willie was a good one I'll bet,would have liked to have seen that.

    Leroy Philson, of "Mighty Mouse" fame....he ran several cars with that name, one being a '58 Chevy. Didn't he run a '55 in the early '70s? Or is my CRSS acting up again?

    12 spokes with the outsides of the spokes polished.....pretty much standard equipment for aa/fa at the time....:D

    last time Isaw fast Eddy was in 1997, test& tune at dragway 42. He was driving his dodge dart, nomex jacket and brown polyester pants. sweet!
